Peanut Butter Apple Dip

  4.8 – 29 reviews  â€¢ Cold Cheese Dip Recipes

A straightforward traditional Arabic recipe for cookies that resemble shortbread. The pricey but extremely worthwhile cardamom is what gives food its beautiful flavor. Actually, I enjoy these better without the almonds, but you are welcome to include them if you like.

With sweetened peanut butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar is plenty.

This has been a big hit at my house. We get a lot of students for classes here, and snacks are always more than welcome. I first tried this as written and while wonderful, we found it too sweet for some. So the second time I cut the sugar –I use natural honey to taste — and used light cream cheese. We have some diabetics in the community, so I added in about a quarter cup of ground flax seed to slow sugar absorption, and while it changes the texture, it has no effect on the taste. This has become a staple and it will be a centerpiece for a fruit tray I am preparing for an international organization. I love it with apples, but it is also terrific with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and as a dip for cookies.

A scent of cheesiness, smooth creamy texture, oh I love it. I let the kids taste some and they went crazy, I had to make more dip too :-,)

my family loves this recipe. For our taste we did reduce the sugar to about 1/4C but we love it.

This was a huge hit with my family. I followed the recipe exactly and was very happy with how it turned out. Will definitely make again!

I made it exactly as stated in the recipe. Although I was concerned about the amount of sugar and wondered what the addition of cream cheese would add to the flavor mix, it turned out great! So easy. I made it for a meeting along with some Honeycrisp apples and for a family get-together. I heard no complaints. 🙂

I did cut down the sugar to 1/2 cup & added a splash of vanilla-wonderful dip! Closely reminds me of my favorite peanut butter pie filling! So good with apples & just about anything else!

The kids loved it too!!

I’ve made this many times. My kids and their friends love this dip. I make it with the cup of sugar and 2/3 cup of sugar. We like both ways.

Super easy. I used honey roasted pb, reduced the sugar by 1/2, and added vanilla. Tasty!

it’s simple as was perfect for my pool party. And FYI.. soaking apple slices in salt water for 2 minutes and then rinsing then off before serving will stop them from browning.

Awesome!! I used about 3/4 c of brown sugar & was sweet & delicious. Makes a TON. 🙂

The only change I made to this was I added 1 teaspoon of vanilla. I started out with half the brown sugar but ended up putting the rest in after I tasted it. I was craving something sweet and didn’t feel like baking. I will probably make this again, my kids are loving it!

O my goodness, I’ve made this quite a few times in the last couple of months. One of my favorite snacks. Thanks so much for sharing!

I thought this was so-so, but made for a party (served with apples, pretzels and celery) and some folks went gaga over it! Glad everyone else loved it…I will have to take another look at it and try to figure out how to make it pop a little.

Easy to make and delicious! I followed the recipe exactly.

This is crack dip. So amazing!! Great with apples and pretzels.

Great for every crowd, young and old. I have never had anything but rave reviews and it is so simple. If using apple’s after cutting them use sprite or seven up to keep them from browning. Works great!

A friend turned me on to this. I modified it by cutting the sugar in half and adding some cinnamon and mini chocolate chips. I also used chunky peanut butter. Is anything better than peanut butter and chocolate???
