Peach Cobbler in a Mug

Simple, healthy homemade breakfast sausage that is baked as opposed to fried. Bonus: There is little cleanup and no greasy spray.

Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoon butter
  2. 2 tablespoons white sugar
  3. 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  4. 1 tablespoon nonfat dry milk powder
  5. ⅛ teaspoon baking powder
  6. ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  7. 1 pinch salt
  8. 2 tablespoons water
  9. 1 (4 ounce) container diced peaches, well drained

Instructions

  1. Place butter into a microwave-safe cup and heat on high in the microwave until melted, about 20 seconds.
  2. Combine sugar, flour, milk powder, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl; add water and stir. Transfer sugar mixture to the mug and stir with a fork until batter is well mixed. Add peaches to the top of the batter.
  3. Heat in the microwave on 70 percent power for 2 minutes. Let the mug stand in the microwave for 1 minute more. Cool slightly.

I that it’s individual serving. I used the small jar of sliced peaches instead. Drained of course. It was great.

Didn’t have much of a cinnamon flavor and the amount it makes is a tease. Definitely double the recipe if you want a real dessert.

It was yummy! The texture was a little weird because the batter was SUPER thin and when it cooked in the microwave, it never really “cooked”. Just more like warm, thick, goey insides. The flavor was wonderful, but the consistency was interesting. (I used 2 tbsp milk instead of the milk powder + water and fresh peaches)

I had been craving peach cobbler for a couple of days but had not made it by the store for a large can of peaches. Then I found this little gem of a recipe. I’m usually a little skeptical about “made in mug” desserts, but this turned out great and satiated my craving. I used 2T. milk in place of the powdered milk & water and 1/4 tsp each baking powder and cinnamon because I couldn’t find my smaller measuring spoon. It was the perfect sized serving with no tempting leftovers.

I loved it, I added a bit more milk( I used milk instead of water), chopped a couple walnuts, and used a fresh peach. I put peaches in bottom of cup, and stirred it up just a little. Cooked 2 min on high. A few seconds less probably would be better. It was done and delicious with ice cream!

I used wet milk instead of dry milk powder, so I’m gonna try this again sometime.

The only change I made was to use fresh peaches. The flavor was good, but the cobbler never set after cooking for 3 1/2 minutes. Not a favorite of mine.

I only used 1/2 T of sugar, and it was sweet enough for me. It’s not the best mug dessert I’ve ever made, but I will probably try it again some time. Overall, nice flavor, and the texture was fine for me.

Amazing! Probably not a good thing that I tried this recipe! Now I can have peach cobbler any time I want. I used milk instead of water and it came out perfect.

I really wanted to like this and have a new addition to the things my kids can make in a mug collection but something is off about the recipe. The cobbler was a gummy cake with warm peaches on top. The flavors were ok but it needs some tweaking and possibly cooked a tad longer…not sure…
