Ingredients
- 2 cups angel hair pasta
- ½ cup butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ½ cup white cooking wine
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- ¾ cup seasoned bread crumbs
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook angel hair pasta in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 4 to 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven’s broiler.
- Heat 1/4 cup butter over medium heat in a large, deep skillet. Add garlic; cook and stir until fragrant. Add shrimp, white wine, and lemon juice; continue to cook and stir until shrimp is bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, about 5 minutes. Stir in red pepper flakes until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Place remaining 1/4 cup butter, bread crumbs, 1/2 the Parmesan cheese, and parsley in a bowl. Stir until well combined. Set aside.
- Place cooked pasta into shrimp scampi mixture; toss until fully coated in sauce. Add remaining Parmesan cheese and toss well. Top with bread crumb mixture.
- Broil in the preheated oven until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately.

Definitely a keeper.
It was a good dish but way too dry. I used plain breadcrumbs and added Italian seasoning and garlic powder to it. The next time I will add a 1/2 bottle of scampi sauce
My husband is on meds and he thought something was off. It’s his taste buds that are off, it was awesome. If you don’t like spicy, I’d go with 1/2 tsp red pepper. Also, I am not a cook. It would have been great to know and not have to look up, how much dry pasta is 2 cups and I used lemon juice and had to look up that 2 tablespoons of juice is in one medium lemon.
Consider using 1.5x butter & wine to make some extra sauce. I did 3 mins under broiler. Very nice dish,
I added a package of (sliced) cherry tomatoes, ITALIAN SEASONING, fresh cut chives (1/4 cup) and chopped rest basil. Served with grated Parmesan cheese. Success.
Excellent dish!! Thank you!
Made this for my husband and I tonight. He is very picky when it comes to food but he thought this was great. I did not read the reviews before hand and we both thought it was a bit dry but the flavor was delicious! Will be making it again and doubling the sauce!
My husband and I really enjoyed this dish, but have discussed changes we would make the next time – and there will be a next time!
Delicious, will definitely make again.
This was a great recipe. I had to make a couple substitutions because my husband needs to eat low-carb, used cauliflower pasta and almond flour in place of bread crumbs, otherwise followed the recipe as written. Was very good, will make again.
This recipe has potential but the portions were off. I’m going to try again with about half as much angel hair and twice as much bread crumb mixture.
Absolutely delicious, so much so I’ve made it twice. My husband especially loves it.
I found this to be a little dry but good flavor. Next time I will double the sauce, remove the cooked shrimp and reduce the sauce to thicken a bit. Then add the shrimp back in AFTER tossing the pasta with the sauce. Also used Panko instead of seasoned crumbs. Also, I’ll put the whole thing into a broiler proof dish before sprinkling on topping.
I followed the recipe exactly and while it was good, it wasn’t great. This will not be on high rotation.
Scrumptious! Thank you for sharing!
Doubled the recipe. Had to add 3xs the liquid and butter and came out excellent. The whole family loved it.
Absolutely delicious! The only thing I would change is the amount of breadcrumbs, as you can see in the picture it is quite alot – I would only use half.
This was very good, but I found it somewhat dry. Next time I will increase the amount of sauce and add more accordingly to my taste. Very flavorful, hubby loved it!
Loved the taste, BUT when adjusting down to 3 people, the ingredients state 1/4 cup of butter and later in the recipe it calls for 1/4 cup twice, I wish it had adjusted correctly, it turned out very dry. I believe with the correct measurements, this would be a fantastic recipe.
Need a better way to gauge volume of pasta. I guessed and it was way too much leaving the dish fairly dry. Good flavor…
Loved it! The blend of flavors were great. I used less shrimp because I could only buy jumbo; not medium. The Parmesan crust topping really finishes the dish!
