Parmesan Asparagus

  4.6 – 92 reviews  • Baked

I generally have a really herby chestnut-filled stuffing, so I wanted a honey roast turkey that was straightforward and classic. This dish is one that I brought back from England and adore. The gravy that is created from the pan drippings is wonderful!

Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  1. cooking spray
  2. 10 fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
  3. 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  4. ⅛ teaspoon garlic salt

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. Lightly spray asparagus with cooking spray; place onto the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until tender, about 12 minutes, flipping spears halfway through.
  4. Meanwhile, mix Parmesan cheese and garlic salt together in a small bowl.
  5. Remove asparagus from the oven and sprinkle Parmesan mixture over top.

I made this tasty Asparagus dish as directed. My husband and I thought it was absolutely delicious and tasty. This is the first time I have attempted to do anything with Asparagus other than sauté it. Now I can’t wait to make it again!! Thanks for sharing such a wonderful recipe.

I have made this twice this week! Such a great recipe. It grows wild around me. I saw the reviews that add lemon or something and they complain. Of course you can add everything you like and it’s what make this recipe 5 stars! My family loves it this way.

This was the first time my husband ever tried asparagus and my first time preparing with parmesan cheese. I used a lot more cheese than mentioned once they were ready but we both loved them!

Delicious. Will make again!

It’s really no different from regular asparagus. I would add more parmesan.

This was quick, easy, and Good. I added Tony Chacheres and garlic powder seasoning for extra ump in seasoning but was overall really good. I cooked on 350 because I had something else in the oven, for about 35 minutes. Sooo good and soft, Yum!

Delicious!

Very good, I did use olive oil instead of cooking spray (I don’t even buy cooking spray) and I used shaved Parmesan and covered the asparagus with it before baking/roasting, quick easy

I think adding just a sprinkle of lemon juice to the asparagus definitely helped and using fresh minced garlic!

Turned out great. Baked at 375 for 10 minutes, stired and baked 10 more minutes.

Super fast and just enough flavor without overpowering the asparagus. I used garlic powder instead of salt.

We have made it twice already and the recipe is fabulous (despite some minor things that are just our personal preference). We didn’t use cooking spray, but we just lightly drizzled some olive oil on top of the asparagus instead of using it because we prefer to not have cooking spray on our food.

I followed the recipe to a t except for how many asparagus I added ( which was more), and I baked for 7 minutes on each side instead of 6 minutes. These came out AMAZING, and it was honestly my first time making asparagus. Very easy!

So delicious!! The only change I made was broil on high the last 2 of the 6 minutes.

Very tasty and super easy. I bet it would work with broccoli too.

Excellent !! Made this tonight and the husband who doesnt even eat veggies loved it. I did use olive oil but the parmesan (I used a combo of shaved and grated) and garlic made a great flavour! super easy (and elegant) side dish that takes hardly any time, thanks!!

Not quite al dente at 9 mins total. Maybe an extra minute or two next time. I covered the bottom of the stalks with thick slices of tomatoes from the start and that was a hit with my guests. Flavorful. Will make again.
