Ingredients
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- 7 black tea bags (recommended: Red Rose)
- 3 cups sparkling water, chilled
- 1/2 small orange, thinly sliced
- Ice
- Fresh mint or basil sprigs, to garnish
Instructions
- Special equipment: a 60-ounce (7 1/2 cups) pitcher
- For the syrup: In a small saucepan, bring the orange juice and sugar to a boil over medium-high heat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and cool for 20 minutes.
- For the tea: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the tea bags and remove the pan from the heat. Allow the tea to steep and cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes. Remove the tea bags and discard. Pour the tea and syrup into a pitcher and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Thank you for this quick <a href=”https://www.olindateana.com/collections/wellness-herbal-tea/products/orange-tea?variant=37086019813542″> orange tea </a> recipe
Johan
Fantastic!! went by the recipe to the ‘tea” and it was SO good. This is a keeper
We didn’t care for this at all. Steeping the bags for 20 minutes made the tea bitter and the addition of orange juice gave it a nasty flavor It didn’t even taste like orange. The juice also separated and hung at the bottom of the pitcher and we had to keep mixing it.
I really love this. My tea turned cloudy but I think it had to do with the orange juice I used. My orange juice was from frozen concentrate. I also didn’t have sparkling water on had so I used plain water. I enjoyed and it will be a staple during the summer.
Not that crazy about this Tea
This is WONDERFUL!! I made it a couple years ago for the first time and my grandson, age 5 at the time couldn’t get enough. To this day he still requests it. Love it! Thank you for the recipe.
Amazing tea but made it with my own twist
this is really good – something different to offer people. the mint adds a nice subtle flavor so don’t skip out on that. i would make this again. i doubled the batch, still wasn’t enough for the crowd i had!
It was very refreshing. It will make a great summer drink.
