Can’t wait to make it again and make it my own! Good recipe, a tad sweet. Made according to recipe and now it’s time to play with it. SO glad I tried it!
Made exactly as stated and came out so amazing!! Used cara cara orange…….yummy!!!
very good. Many friends were very impressed. I had no pecans so used sunflower seeds, dried cranberries, and almonds instead
I loved this recipe the balance of chocolate and orange was very nice. It’s not your typical cookie recipe. Plus, you can say that you had your daily serving of fruit with this recipe. 🙂
These cookies were delicious, the only change I made was the baking time, instead of 15 – 16 minutes, I baked 10 – 12 so that they would be a little more chewy with crispy edges. The orange zest really gave this cookie a delicious zing of flavor.
Made these according to the recipe and not only did I love them, my 3 year old grandson and 37 year old son DEMANDED I bring more the following week (they ate every single one I took them in one afternoon/evening) LOL. Most excellent recipe. Have made twice since and have turned out perfect every time. Thank you so much for posting this recipe. It’s a keeper for me – and mine. 🙂
I added a teaspoon of orange juice to make it taste more orange it was pretty good!
Made the following modifications (some based on other reviews) 1-added 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 2-added additional 1/2 cup of flour 3-added 3/4 cup of chopped chocolate covered orange sticks and reduced chocolate chips to 1 cup 4-baked for 13 mins Nirvana
These are delicious!! I make them every year when my oranges are ready
Followed all instructions except added orange syrup as well to enhance the orange flavor (1 tsp), and they still had more of a hint of orange then overpowering orange. I really like them. I have been watching the time: doing between 10-12 min.
Terrific cookies ! Just the right amount of orange to taste and even better with dark chocolate chips…did not use nuts, thought they would not add much to the orange / chocolate combination. Also used 1 cup whole wheat flour and coconut oil. Will probably use more orange zest next time for some extra zing !
I loved these cookies!! The orange zest takes them from good chocolate chip cookies to something special!! I used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 regular, left everything else as written. The orange flavor is more pronounced the second day 🙂
so good!
These are one of my all-time favourite cookie recipes. They are a big hit both at home and at the office. I do however substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips for Hershey’s dark chocolate chips.
I used orange extract in place of orange peel and in addition to the chocolate chips I chopped up an orange flavored chocolate bar. Very good.
Really delicious. I added a half cup of craisins. They were begging to be included, and it turned out great! Pay attention to the “flatten slightly” part. Makes a big difference.
This cookie has good texture. I cut down the white sugar to 1/4 c. since I do not like my cookies too sweet. Adding more, even twice the amount, of orange zest would definitely have increased the ‘yum factor’ for this cookie. Also, personal taste, less chocolate chips would have worked better. I will make this cookie again with half the choc chips and twice the zest. Baking time – depends a lot on the oven and size of cookies. I needed the whole 15 minutes and even a couple more.
Excellent cookies! I’m really into the orange flavor and next time will add more zest, but overall, I recommend them.
They taste really good except I almost burned them on the first batch, 15 minutes is too long and I should have followed other people’s comments. I will add more orange zest next time too, maybe 2 and 1/2 table soon because I like more orange taste. Other than that, it’s very good. Thank you so much for the recipe.
Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! I followed right along with the recipe and I LOVED them. Not sure what the rest of the family thinks yet because I haven’t shared, but I’m sure I’ll be making them again.
YUM!!
