Was very excited to make this. Used the Kraken (spiced rum) and had to add coconut rum and more orange juice because it was way too thick and overpowered by the rum  (and I DO like rum). Still working on perfecting it.

I don’t like spiced rum ( I used coconut rum) and at 3.99 for 16 oz of pineapple, I adjusted the recipe a bit. I had OJ with banana in the house so I used that, the whole pkg of pineapple, the 1/4 cu banana liqueur (and since I like my drinks a bit stronger) I upped the rum to a full cup. Turned out on the banana-y side and will adjust that in the future…still…….yummy!

I made this on Fathers Day for us woman and we loved it. I used smooth spiced rum like one of the reviews suggested, and added extra orange juice. We were quite happy!

We loved this recipe – we bought the “smooth” spiced rum which apparently made a difference as it didn’t overwhelm. We also picked up a bag of mango in error, but liked it better than the pineapple. Now we want to try it with different fruits and liquers, and will probably go with dark rum in the future.

This is a very good drink recipe. However, the spiced rum does overwhelm it. Second time I made it, I used 1/3 cup of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum and 1/3 cup of of Bacardi Superior Rum.
Much better flavor.

This is a very good drink! My husband loved it, I loved it but tasted the Spiced Rum a little too much. Next time I make this, I will use a 1/2 cup of Spiced Rum rather than the 3/4 cup the recipe calls for. Other than that, this is a wonderful tasting drink!
