Loved it since day 1. Been making this recipe for over 10 years now!
Made this with thick pork loin chops tonite. After simmering an hour on low, they were medium/medium-well and smothered in sauce they were delicious! We have gluten sensitivities and allergies in our home so beer was a no-go. Swapped in a Diet Coke in its place (also have corn allergies so nothing with corn syrup) and used a honey-garlic bbq sauce – the kids LOVED it. (Except for the onions)
Used bone-in pork chops and these turned out GREAT. So easy to do and they were fall off the bone tender and juicy. I will be making these again. Thanks!
Easy way to fix chops, everyone ate it pretty well except my son who did not like the large onion pieces.
Made it with country ribs and cooked it for about 2-1/2 hours. Pulled out the meat when it was tender and cooked down the sauce by half and then added back the meat.
So easy and delicious! Will make again 🙂
Best pork chops in the world!
Made this for dinner tonight. Recipe was just okay. We like BBQ, but the sauce was a bit too spicy and thin instead of a thicker consistency we prefer. The pork wasn’t as moist as I expected either, but that’s probably because I used boneless pork loin chops with no fat in them….guess I’ll go back to grilling them as that’s how they stay juicy when cooked.
Steak seasoning made it too salty for my hubby and I. Next time I will eliminate the seasoning.
My husband and I loved this but I did add a little hot sauce.
A great, tasty meal that you can have all the ingredients in, just when you need them!=)
I believe using bone in chops is key . Although I used a quality BBQ sauce, it is what it is! Quick, minimum effort and chops with sauce poured over them. I’m not interested in making them again.
Thought they were great, even liked them as leftovers the next day.
I would make this again using better bbq sauce. The onions, which I love onions, didn’t taste that great. Thanks
OMG! I thought this was too simple to be this good! The only thing I did different was that I added a little siracha to the sauce and added sliced mushrooms with the onions. It is GREAT!!
Delicious, after reading reviews I also added 1/2 cup of brown sugar and worcestershire. It was a hit!! Everyone gobbled it up!!
My family loved it. I only made on major change. I don’t like beer. So I replaced the beer with Cherry Coke. The flavor was great! This would be perfect with country ribs in a slow cooker. This one’s added to my cookbook! Thanks for sharing!!!
This is a great recipe! Very easy to make and it tastes delicious, even my oldest daughter who is very picky loved it! I made my own barbecue sauce from this site (Zippy Barbecue Sauce) and I used a nice dark beer. The chops didn’t take as long as the recipe called for, but my chops were on the thinner side. I removed the meat and simmered just the sauce until it thickened. Added the chops back in and warmed them up and everything was perfect. This is going into my recipe box and will be used again!
A-freaking-mazing! Our family LOVES this one! 😀
even my picky eater loved it, i did cheat and make mine in a crock pot though, busy day!
WE absolutely love this recipe!!! Making it tonight for my guys!!!
