Level: Easy
Total: 1 hr 30 min
Active: 15 min
Yield: 4 to 6 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup chocolate chip cookie dough, homemade or prepared
  2. Nonstick cooking spray, for the baking dish
  3. One 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  4. Two 12-ounce bags white chocolate chips
  5. 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
  6. 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  7. 1 pound confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  8. 2 tablespoons red sprinkles
  9. 2 tablespoons green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Divide the cookie dough between 2 pieces of parchment or wax paper. Spread out the dough lengthwise across the paper, then roll the paper to cover it and use your hands to roll the dough pieces into 14-inch logs about 1/2-inch thick. Slice into 1/4-inch rounds and place on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove to a cooling rack.
  3. Spray an 9-by-13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray, then line with parchment, leaving a 2-inch overhang.
  4. Crumble half of the cookies into small pieces, reserving the rest whole for topping. Heat the sweetened condensed milk in a large saucepan over low heat. Add the white chocolate chips, cream cheese and salt and cook, stirring, until melted and smooth. Slowly add the confectioners’ sugar, stirring it in vigorously.
  5. Remove from the heat and stir in the crumbled cookies and red and green sprinkles. Spread into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the whole cookies on top of the fudge sticking upright at different angles. Freeze for 1 hour or until firm.
  6. Cut into 1-inch squares. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

So disappointing. Mine never set even after over 2 hours in freezer. Cookies fell flat and sank in mixture. I had to throw it away.  Texture was more like taffy. Very sticky.

Mine turned into a pink brown mess. The sprinkles melted and the chocolate chips melted doesn’t look appetizing at all!

It came out actually great remember it’s condensed milk not evaporated
the biggest mistake people will buy the evaporated your fudge will not set up it’s for sweet condensed milk that is a big difference.

Okay, just wondering does 1lb of confectioner’s sugar mean 16 oz bc dry measures are usually stipulated in dry measure units ???

Super disappointing- didn’t set up.

Quite certain it’s because her Oz conversion in this recipe doesn’t add up.
1 can of sweetened condensed milk is 300mL which is actually 10oz (not 15)
And 1 bag of white chipits is 225g (8oz) not 12oz.
So if I try it again, I’ll be going by the g & mL and not her Oz conversions

This is a really great recipe! It’s very easy to make. Just be aware it’s a lot of stirring. Mine set up perfectly. I have made this 3 times already and each time it’s been a hit!

Everyone loved this fudge! I’m personally more of a chocolate fudge person but I don’t think a single person who tried it didn’t love it. Mine set fine. I wonder if those that say it didn’t set maybe didn’t cook it long enough? Or like someone else suggested, used evaporated milk instead of the sweetened condensed? Anyway, I’ll definitely be making this a Christmas regular.
