Excellent & Tasty I made 1 slight change and used a Spice Cake Mix. Enjoy!

This was SOOOOOO sweet. I couldn’t even eat it. I was shocked to see how many people loved it based on how sweet it turned out. It should be 1/4 cup of what the sugar calls for.
Samantha Pearson
love it

Not the prettiest cake but who cares? It’s the most delicious! I waited until the cake cooled off to add the icing. Just a preference for presentation.

This is the best recipe I have ever used. I’ve made the last 5 with it and everyone loves it. The only thing I changed was I doubled the icing ingredients

It’s a great cake recipe. For my first try, I decided to make some changes to the recipe and omg… The cake was gone in minutes. First, I used the butter recipe yellow cake mix. Then instead of oil, I used a room temperature stick of unsalted butter. I also, added a pack of vanilla pudding to the batter. Also, instead of wate r I used milk. Next, for the glaze I added cinnamon to it Lastly, I sprinkled a sugar & cinnamon dust on top. It seems like a lot of changes but baby…. it’s delicious

I’ve made this so many times! By far the most requested dessert that I bring to gatherings. Currently have 1 in the oven for early Christmas dinner tonight

No changes. Worked perfectly. Magically delicious.

It tasted great, but was too dense for my husband to appreciate

This cake was good but too sweet. I think 1 cup of brown sugar is too much. The cake mix itself is already sweet. I would probably use 1/4 cup of brown sugar next time if that. The flavor profile was great but the sweetness was overpowering and off putting.
