This tuna salad is healthy and mayo-free. Instead, I use hummus, which is fantastic!

Ingredients

  1. 1 (12 ounce) can tuna, drained
  2. ½ cup hummus
  3. ½ cup chopped red onion
  4. ½ cup chopped red bell pepper
  5. ⅓ cup sweet relish
  6. ¼ cup chopped tomatoes (Optional)
  7. 2 large hard boiled egg whites, chopped
  8. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  9. ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix tuna, hummus, onion, bell pepper, relish, tomatoes, egg whites, Dijon, and black pepper together in a large bowl until well combined.
  2. I used original Sabra(R) hummus, but flavored hummus would add an extra kick!

This is pretty good. I cut the sweet relish by half and added lemon juice and some garlic salt.
