Matcha Frappé

  4.5 – 12 reviews

Olive oil-sauteed chicken breast served with a smooth sauce made from spiced orange juice and fresh mango. This dish is understated yet sophisticated.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 5 mins
Servings: 1

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup milk
  2. 5 ice cubes, or as needed
  3. 1 tablespoon vanilla-flavored syrup (such as Torani®)
  4. 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder, or more to taste
  5. 1 tablespoon whipped cream, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend milk, ice, vanilla syrup, and green tea powder in a blender to desired consistency. Serve with whipped cream on top.
  2. You can substitute almond milk, rice milk, or soy milk for the milk. Please don’t use the contents of green tea bags as a substitution for the matcha powder, though. It’s not the same thing and has a whole different taste.
  3. By increasing or decreasing the amount of ice, you can adjust the thickness of the frappé. You can also adjust the amount of matcha and vanilla syrup to your preference.

My daughter and i made this as the recipe as it said. It was bland and too liquidy. We added a couple hanfuls of ice 4 teaspoons of matcha powder total, and added an extra teaspoon of vanilla syrup. And viola perfection!

I like soy milk. I did in the wrong order but it came out amazing. I added 7 ice cubes, 2 tablespoons of matcha and what looked like 1 1/4 soy milk, but it was added last. I did a half tablespoon of vanilla extract. Blended really well. It is amazing

I used homemade vanilla syrup and only 1/2 tsp of the matcha powder, and this was wonderful. I may increase the matcha next time, now that I know how strong this particular brand is. Thanks for a great recipe!

Loved this refreshing matcha treat! Most of the reviews suggested to add more matcha so I used 1 tablespoon and it turned out great! I didn’t have any vanilla syrup so I used vanilla extract and sugar. Overall, a wonderful drink!

It definitely needs more matcha, so I used 1 tablespoon. I substituted heavy whipping cream for the whipped cream which increased the ketogenic factor! Delicious!

Refreshing and tasty! I did use almond milk. I also used 5 ice cubes, and it came out very thin, not like I would expect a frappe to be. Maybe increasing the ice cubes would thicken it? For the matcha green tea powder, I went according to the instructions on my container. It mentioned 3 tblsp, which I used, and this had very good flavor. I also used a packet of Stevia and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract for in place of the sweetener listed. Thanks for this good drink recipe! Oh, just realized I forgot to add the whipped cream….next time!

I added 2 cups of ice cubes, but it was still not thick enough so I added an extra cup. It was very bland, even with 1 1/2 tsp of matcha powder. It will be a good recipe with some adjustments.

I used half chocolate cashew milk and half regular, added a little stevia, and skipped the whipped cream because I don’t do dairy – tasted awesome!

Really liked how this came out. Added 2 tablespoons of matcha instead, also added a small bit of sweetener. Overall, great recipe.

I used almond milk and added a pkg of truvia for a little extra sweetness. Since this was my breakfast, I also added protein powder. This is a very good recipe which can easily be adjusted for personal tastes.
