Great recipe. I also added garlic, bell peppers and use leftover pot roast. Served with warm rolls. Yum.

MMMMMMNMM so YUUMMMYY! Jokes aside, very very good. Slay. I like how you can also adapt the ingredients to your liking and or what you have and it’ll taste GREAT. The only advice I would give is to put some salt.

Very good. Simple to make. You can pretty much put whatever you like in it. I used some beef broth instead of plain water. I only had canned whole tomatoes so I used them & cut them up a bit into smaller pieces. I doubled the recipe so we’d have a lot of leftovers. I’ll definitely make it again.

I liked this recipe. Adding beef stock instead makes the stock very good and you can put any kind of veggies into it, so it’s very user friendly! This is a good basic homemade soup recipe!

Great soup! I stuck with the basic recipe but wanted to use my imagination and add some of my own ingredients. So….please do not read the rest of my review if you’re one who can’t bear it when someone else veers from the original recipe. I used stew meat that I had on hand and sauteed the pieces in a little oil and some sliced onion. Then began with the recipe ingredients. To these, I added; a 16- oz. can of beef broth, a large yellow potato (cut up), two fresh, carrots (sliced), a handful of chopped Italian parsley, some seasoned salt and a few dashes of pepper to the pot. I wanted to try it with some tarragon, so threw in a few shakes, and this gave the soup a very interesting flavor. I think the bit of sugar and packaged onion soup are key to the appeal of this tasty soup! We loved it! Thanks for sharing .

We are Orthodox Christian and fasting for Lent so we used Beyond Beef crumbles. Delish!!!!!

Followed recipe pretty closely, added a leftover baked potato and used Rotel instead of diced tomatoes. Added some garlic and some onion flakes and a half teaspoon of “better than bouillon “. I will be saving this recipe!

As written very bland. But a good starter recipe.

Absolutely delicious! Quick and easy to make.

This was delicious. I used 32 oz of beef broth in addition to the 2 cups of water to make it more soupy. Wouldn’t change anything else.

This was very simple and tasty. I doubled to the tomato sauce (I didn’t have a smaller can) and doubled the veggies. I also added a beef bouillon cube. I will make it again. The lipton soup mix really added a nice flavor.

Great soup. -I put basil, garlic, and oregano tomato sauce. -I also did not use ground beef but put in a small roast and pressure cooked it and shredded ahead of making soup I would make this again!!

ok, a box of veggie and chicken broth. i floured the 1lb beef stew in olive oil and browned softly. i cut up a onion and a few carrots, a leftover green pepper, and softened them up with a little butter and the oil from the beef. i used the recipe for the rest. it was quite good. very good recipe, i would make again

added tomato paste and crushed tomatoes

Used stew meat and beef broth as others had recommended. Very good!

I doubled the recipe and used Instapot. I used rotel for 1 of the cans of tomatoes, we like spicy. I used beef cut into cubes for stew meat instead of the ground beef. I added 2 cups of cubed potatoes, instead of a 2nd bag of vegtables. It was amazing!!!!! This is my new favorite soup.

I have made this twice. Once as the recipe was written and then once with the suggestions others had given. SO, my rating is as the recipe was posted. To me and my husband it was bland and not enough hamburger. BUT, thank you for the basis for the start of an easy soup.
