In college, I practiced making burgers like these, which I later modified to appease finicky family members. Burgers that are always juicy and moist. Add pancetta, Swiss or blue cheese, red onion slices, old-fashioned grainy mustard, and iceberg lettuce to the burger as garnishes.

Ingredients
- 1 pound rigatoni pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
- 2 (32 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
- 1 ½ pounds shredded mozzarella cheese
- thinly sliced pepperoni
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Pour in rigatoni, and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, and set pasta aside.

Great recipe that’s easy to make. Family loved it.
Was very good I used Taco seasoned sausage instead of the Italian sausage
This is a great recipe and it goes a long way! I froze one of the dishes and now I am ready to cook it up for dinner. Does anyone know what temp and how long to cook it when it is frozen?
I made this following the exact recipe and directions, and it was very good. The second time I added 1/2 chopped onion, two cloves of minced garlic, and a tablespoon of pesto. It was awsome
Love this recipe, I make it once a week for my wife. She love’s it. Yummo.
Its freaking delicious. We loved it!
Really good substitute when there’s a “pasta shortage” and manicotti pasta is nowhere to be found. I used penne as that was the closest I could find.
Fast, simple and yummy!
Made it for my family. They all loved it. I made 2 pans from this recipe. I used ground turkey in place of beef & Italian seasoned ground chicken in place of the sausage. I added spices & garlic to give the meat more flavor, skipped the pepperoni & added shredded Parmesan & mozzarella. Very delicious & super easy to make. Definitely will make this dish again!!
This is an easy and very tasty dish! I will be making this again.
Yum!!! Lasagne, but better and easier. I used regular breakfast sausage I had on hand, and Italian blend shredded cheese and Mozzerella. I did add a TBSP of minced garlic to the meat and followed another reviewers suggestion of adding half the cheese to the hot meat mixture before adding the sauce. This was sooo good and made A LOT. This fed myself and 2 grown men for 2 days, plus I gave the leftovers to another family of 3 who ate on it for 3 days!!! (The flavor only got better!) Next time I will half the recipe to an 8×8 pan…maybe 🙂
My family enjoyed this! I added some cut up pepperoni and some of the cheese into the pasta mixture. My younger son asked for this to be part of our regular rotation!
Very good-definitely good for a hungry group.
Family loved it
It turned out even better than the first time. I used a different baking pan.
My family loves it! I have made it a couple times now. Simple and delicious! Highly recommend!!
No changes taste great an fast to cook
Consider using a spicy italian sausage to give it some zip.
This was very easy to make was was very delicious. My family loved it! I did use rotini pasta because my family does like that pasta noodle best. it came out great!!
It was hit in our house, I also made changes and added onions and garlic prior to adding the mild Italian sausage and ground beef. I also sautéed fresh mushrooms… I didn’t use the entire box and more like 3/4, I felt it was just enough pasta. As per the other reviews I also mixed 3/4 of a bag of shredded mozzarella with the meat/ sauce and mushrooms. I quartered Turkey pepperoni to the top and then added mozzarella just to cover. Lots of left overs, all want it again tomorrow. So saves me from cooking… a win, win for everyone!!
