Ingredients

  1. 1 pound sashimi-grade salmon, cut into small cubes
  2. 1 cup shoyu (Japanese soy sauce)
  3. ½ cup chopped green onion
  4. ¼ cup finely chopped sweet onion (such as Vidalia®)
  5. 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  6. 2 tablespoons finely crushed macadamia nuts
  7. 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  8. 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  9. ½ tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  10. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place salmon, shoyu, green onion, onion, sesame oil, macadamia nuts, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, ginger, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
  3. Substitute ahi tuna for the salmon, if desired.
