Ingredients
- 1 pound sashimi-grade salmon, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup shoyu (Japanese soy sauce)
- ½ cup chopped green onion
- ¼ cup finely chopped sweet onion (such as Vidalia®)
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons finely crushed macadamia nuts
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- ½ tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place salmon, shoyu, green onion, onion, sesame oil, macadamia nuts, sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, ginger, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.
- Substitute ahi tuna for the salmon, if desired.
