This is the one! A very good base recipe. I added salt, pepper and dry mustard to taste. I used to make a very traditional Mac’N Cheese, but my kids said that they could taste the flour. I think my -Kraft Mac and Cheese-teens and college kids just didn’t like the texture. Adding Velveeta gave it a smoother less “grit” texture. I added more Velveeta than called for, even after tripling my recipe for 6 kids; 4 of whom are teen-20s boys. I did not triple the flour, I was trying to be conservative with my use of flour. It turned out great! I took one star because it has 0 spices.

Super easy and it turned out perfect. I added the bread crumbs on top!

Excellent recipe! I added bread crumbs to my macaroni and cheese.

It was pretty good, perfect creaminess level but there was no salt or pepper in the recipe. It definitely needed alot of salt. Also, think would need more stronger cheese flavors like gruyere etc. I want to find a recipe more like J alexander’s they have legendary mac n cheese. I think they also use shallots.

It tastes great and looks great! It took a while and required a bit of adjusting for my liking but overall it was good. There’s a bit much flour required and I think it tasted a bit flour-y. I would make this again it just takes a while!

Simple, easy recipe. Allergy safe for me too! I left it under the broiler a moment too long. It tastes way better than the top looks!

I made this it was good, then I decided to double the recipe add onions, 1 cup, mozzarella and 4 cups cheddar cheese. For the top I added Panko Seasoned with Pecorino Romano Cheese. and it was outstanding the family said.

This recipe is just like a recipe I had in a cook book I had lost. It turned out great. I put all the cheese sauce ingredients in a blender and heated up the 2 cups of milk in the microwave and then added that to the blender, I also added some hatch Chile pepper powder to kick it up a little. And then poured it all over the macaroni and baked.

I love the flavor and texture of this recipe, but I substitute Colby Jack cheese for “processed cheese food” and top it with crumbled bacon bits.

This was fabulous with a head of cauliflower florets! I boiled it al dente, and added some chopped, cooked, bacon. The cauliflower didn’t absorb the liquid at all. So creamy! I made a batch with macaroni too, but the cauliflower was better. I used 4 T. butter, 1/2 cup flour, 2 cups milk, and 16 oz. processed cheese (no shredded).
Erica Smith
Delicious as is, but sometimes I change up the cheese depending what I have on hand.

I didn’t have processed cheese so I added provolone and mozzarella. Plus added 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp of pepper and bacon.
