Took these to the office and they were a hit. Had extra limes left over from the weekend and with the price of limes so high did not want to waste them. Took 5 limes to get 3/4 c. juice. Also sprinkled some lime zest on top of bars with powdered sugar and used 1/4 c Trader Joe’s almond meal instead of grinding my own almonds. Worked beautifully. Will definitely make again.
Absolutely delicious, great texture and easy to make. My food processor died so I made the crust by hand – I mixed the ingredients in a bowl until I got the clumpy texture the recipe calls for, and pressed it into the pan with no problems. I added lime zest to the mixture and also sprinkled some on top after adding the powdered sugar for a bit more lime flavor and color. This is going to be my go-to recipe.
GREAT GREAT recipe!!!!! I have company coming tomorrow and had a lot of limes to use up. This was such a quick easy recipe to put together and in the future when limes aren’t as good as lemons I will just sub. for lemons. The crust with almonds and grated lime is what puts it over the top :-
YUMMEEEEE!!!! This recipe is so delicious and so easy to make! I used key limes since they are in season right now and my company completely gobbled the entire dessert. Like another reviewer stated I also added extra lime zest in the topping not only cause it looks pretty but definitely adds to the intense citrus flavor. The crust is amazing with the addition of the almonds and easy does it right in the food processor. Will make this one many more times, way to go, Food Network!!!
made this for the first time and turned out great. i used the recepie from paulas dessert magazine, I noticed that this and other receipes are a bit different. does anyone know why??
I baked these for an office party and I was barely allowed to take them out of the house. Everyone at home loved them and so did everyone at the office. Plus, I managed to eat a few myself 🙂 Solid recipe. I threw in a little extra zest and shaved some on top for color. Will make these again.
This recipe was just great! It’s fresh and tart, and perfect for an outdoor get-together.
I have always failed with lemon bars, This is by far the easiest and the best ever. I used key limes and had to squeeze alot of little limes, but well worth it.
Perfect balance beetween sweetness and tartness.
Gotta try’em!

These were extremely easy to make — great directions. It took five or six limes to make enough fresh lime juice. Would probably be yummy with key lime juice too.
