Kindertime Cranberry Relish

An excellent cranberry-orange relish. It’s a lovely alternative from cranberry sauce and is excellent for the holidays. Enjoy immediately or chilled; the nicer it gets as it rests.

  1. 2 oranges, zested
  2. 2 cups white sugar

  1. Cut zested oranges into quarters. Remove and discard remaining pithy skin.
  2. Blend oranges in a blender until pulpy; pour into a bowl with the sugar.
  3. Grind cranberries in the blender until finely chopped; add to sugar and oranges. Stir crushed pineapple into the mixture. Add about half the orange zest; stir.

Fresh and delicious! Definitely a keeper. I had a little trouble chopping the cranberries in my nutri-bullet and I added only 1 cup of sugar.

Not sure if my first review posted. Basically… we’ve made this for several years but lost the recipe a child brought home from cooking class. We all recognize this as the same one we’ve made every Thanksgiving, but has forgotten the proportions. We use about 3/4 the sugar, make 4-6 times the recipe size, and make it 3 days before Thanksgiving. An absolute family favorite. Thank you for posting it!!
