Italian-Flavored Turkey Meatloaf

Plums and pork chops are slow-cooked together. The acidic sweetness of the plums is given further depth by the addition of pineapple juice and spices.

My family thought this meatloaf was okay. If I make the meatloaf again, I would not use the tomato sauce on top and the mozzarella cheese on top and I would replace the parmesan cheese with the mozzarella cheese.

The whole family LOVED this!!! The only thing I did differently was top it with grated parmesan cheese instead of mozzarella because I have a picky one here that doesn’t like cheese like that This ended up being very health friendly too! I served it with mashed potatoes and roasted green beans

Thought this was a little dry and the flavor a bit weak, so I’ll start checking for doneness sooner. If I make again, I might add some basil in addition to the Italian seasoning and maybe a few red crushed red pepper flakes. It turned out OK, but not sure I’ll make again (my husband’s meatloaf is really good). Thanks for sharing your recipe.

My boyfriend & I folloW this recipe exactly. It is SO delicious! It’s quick and easy to toss together and such a nice spin on traditional meatloaf. Note: If you’re a KETCHUP person: stick with the tomato sauce. We’ve tried it both ways, and ketchup really distracts from the Italian seasoning.
