Ingredients

  1. 4 pork chops
  2. 3 tablespoons butter, cut into small chunks
  3. 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix (such as Lipton®)
  4. 1 cup apple juice

Instructions

  1. Place pork chops into a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot). Dot butter over chops, then sprinkle with onion soup mix. Pour in apple juice. Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to the manufacturer’s instructions; set the timer for 5 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build.
  2. Release the pressure using the natural-release method according to the manufacturer’s instructions, 10 to 40 minutes.

Wow!! What a Great Quick Dinner. I would have given it 5 stars but I sauteed an onion first and placed the chops on top of the onion,,, because we really like onions. And I threw in some red potatoes on top of the chops as was suggested. DELICIOUS!!!

The only thing I did differently was to add some chopped onion. I used golden onion Lipton soup. It is an easy delicious meal. Will definitely make again. It is especially going into my fall cooking menu because of the hint of apple flavoring. Loved the gravy over mashed potatoes ! Thank you for a delicious easy meal.

Very simple, but came out great. I threw in a few golden potatoes that also tasted good. I wish it told how to thicken the juices in the pot to make better gravy.

I used dried apricots in a sweet honey barbaque sauce instead of the onion soup mix. The meat was tender and delicious. I will be making it again.

Easy, tasty way to make pork chops. I took mine directly from the freezer, and into the pot! added 10 minutes to the cook time and they were perfect! I added 4 small garden potatoes and they absorbed the onion soup mix flavor and were delicious with butter.

I just reviewed this very good recipe last night. My husband, not a fan of pork at all, enjoyed it and loved how TENDER our boneless ribeye pork chops were. This morning I was wondering if this recipe, as written, might be doable with pork shoulder steaks, seared for several minutes on each side, but pressured cooked on HIGH for 25 minutes, not 5 minutes. Think it’d work, anyone

my husband loved it but it was kinda salty for me. will try again with homemade soup mix with less salt. and there wasn’t much gravy so ill try adding more so there’s enough to add over mashed potatoes. overall great recipe and we will be having it again.

I made this with thin boneless pork chops, cooking in the instant pot for 4 minutes, then doing natural release, and it turned out perfect. All three kids loved it, and had seconds. I thought I would have a couple of pork chops leftover for lunch the next day, but they ate it all! Because of it’s simplicity I will definitely make this again.

This turned out very tasty! I gave it 4 stars because I used center cut pork chops and they were kind of dr as usual. And I did not have Lipton onion mix so I substituted Knorr garden vegetable soup mix packet, and a small can of sliced mushrooms and some tiny carrots. I thickened sauce with cornstarch afterward. Served over chops and rice. Turned out DELICIOUS!

My husband and I really enjoyed this easy tasty dish. I browned the chops in the instant pot first then added some carrots, Lipton’s Savory Herb and Garlic dry soup mix and the apple juice. I cooked them on high pressure for 10 mins because my chops were quite thick. After cooking I thickened the sauce with a corn starch and water slurry then served them with mashed potatoes. The meal was really good. Thanks for such an easy week day dinner.

Delicious & we love it. I used the base recipe and added sliced can mushrooms, cubed potatoes,sliced onions and a little chili power for a kick.I browned the chops a little on each side,took them out and sauteed the veggies. Gravy was very good, had to thicken it with corn starch. Will be making this again.

Was good. All I had was pineapple juice. Worked really well. It made a lot of liquid, so I mixed water and corn starch and made gravy.

Very good! I made minor changes. I sautéed the chops in the Instant Pot. Used pineapple juice instead of apple (because that’s what I had on hand!) Added 1/4 tsp Kitchen Bouquet to the sauce to make a darker gravy, thickened it with a tbs of flour dissolved in a little water. I also cooked some sliced carrots in with the chops. A keeper!

Made it for the first time tonight. There’s no mention of thickening the liquid. The picture shown doesn’t look anything like my finished product. Maybe it was just assumed that people would thicken it. The first time I make a new recipes I follow the directions exactly. I will tweak it next time. On the good side the meat was very tender and it was very flavorful.

Very tasty and simple. I would stick to the recommendation for cook time of 15 min. My instant pot was preprogrammed to cook it 35 minutes and it was a bit dry.
