Teppanyaki is a Japanese cooking method that uses a teppan, which is a flat iron plate or griddle. The word “yaki” simply means “cooked.” If you don’t have a teppan, how do you make beef teppanyaki? This is a little bit of a cheat as I don’t have a teppan; nonetheless, I use an ordinary skillet, and it works!

Reviews
I thought it was good. I also added a sprinkling of salt, pepper and garlic powder based on a previous review. The garlic did it for me. Next time, I may use a tad less mayo because I could distinctly taste it. (I used Dukes, which is milder than Hellmans and not as sweet as Miracle Whip.) I probably could also decrease the honey a little, but the recipe as is was delicious. Make it, then tweek to your preference.
simple and tastes good.
Easiest honey mustard recipe ever! I buy the ‘Just Bare’ Chicken breasts at Costco, they are the closest thing I’ve ever found to Chick Fila. I bake them & then cut them into strips and serve with this dipping sauce, easy meal to put together in less than 30 minutes.
Excellent recipe! This will be my new go to dressing!
I used avocado mayo, measured by eye but no doubt had twice the lemon juice. Nice and Tangy.
Excellent dressing. Used it up the next as dip for chicken nuggets at lunch
Fantastic
Just brilliant, gorgeous!!! Made this so many times now I’ve lost count. Goes with loads of other stuff too. I’ve even dipped my skinny fries into it. Making it tonight with Salmon fish cakes and salad with parmesan sweet potato fries. Thanks so much, for the recipe.
My husband had given up honey mustard dressing, which is his absolute FAVORITE, because he was having trouble with the sugars on his teeth. We discovered Wholesome Yum keto honey substitute, and made this dressing. He called it “orgasmic” and “just like the good restaurant stuff”. I used Dijon mustard because that’s what I had. Asked if I should get prepared mustard instead, and he said “Don’t change a thing!”
Easy, but very good!
This is the most bland and basic recipe I have ever seen. Put together 1/2 cup mustard, 1/4th cup mayo (feel free to add more mustard if you wish for more tang), 1/4th of a cup honey, then add about a Table spoon of salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne and smoked paprika. This is a way better sauce than this recipe.
This is my absolute favourite go to dressing. I always make a double batch and keep it in the fridge. I do half grainy Dijon and half regular mustard and use apple cider vinegar in place of lemon. So delicious on spinach, berry and chicken salad!! Will make again and again
I added an extra 1/2 T of honey. I love it! It was so quick and easy!
added lemon zest to recipe
I added about a 1/2 TBSP of milk to thin it down and used dijon mustard, like another reviewer, just because I like the taste. Great flavor. Put it on a salad of romaine, fennel, tomato, red onion, hard boiled egg, avocado, flaked salmon and Everything bagel. I’ll make it again!
Great dressing, my new favorite.
Love the dressing! Didn’t change a thing
Easy, quick & I’d bet most cooks have the ingredients on hand. I don’t usually eat honey mustard dressing, but I needed it for another recipe. It is so good that I saved the extra for my next salad!
I have made this many times. Packages of honey mustard at McDonalds or other eat in or takeout restaurants are not any better than this. So simple too! I keep always keep it on hand for chicken strips or bites.
This dressing is wonderful! I used light Mayo because it was all I had on hand and I didn’t miss the full fat. I think next time you m going to try using yogurt.
Delicious! Perfect the way the recipe is written! My daughter is finicky and she loves this dressing
