an alternative to the well-known browning sauce. I only use gluten-free and vegan ingredients. I invented this to use with pot roast. It can be used to produce delicious gravies or whenever Kitchen Bouquet® is desired. To recipes that call for browning sauce, add 1 tablespoon. For up to a week, keep in the refrigerator in an airtight container. It will last longer if you drizzle some oil on top.

Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium vegetable broth powder
- 1 teaspoon yeast extract spread
- 10 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Heat 1/2 cup water in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Add brown sugar and stir until fully dissolved. Add broth powder and stir until completely combined.
- Stir in remaining water, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring constantly until sauce is thick. Simmer, stirring often, until reduced to desired consistency.
- I use homemade, low-sodium broth powder in mine, but the popular prepared brands work just as well. It will offset your sodium though.
