Lemon juice and lemon yogurt are used to make really lemony muffins. A wonderful variation on the regular muffin recipe! Simply sprinkle some confectioner’s sugar on the muffins for a classic substitute for the icing. They are wonderful in either case!

Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- ½ (12 ounce) can CONTADINA® Tomato Paste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour, or more as needed
- 2 (.25 ounce) envelopes FLEISCHMANN’S® Pizza Crust Yeast or RapidRise® Yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 1 ⅓ cups very warm water (120 degrees F to 130 degrees F)
- ⅓ cup oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or more to taste
- 1 (6 ounce) package HORMEL® Pepperoni
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Grease two 12-inch pizza pans.
- Make sauce: Whisk together water, tomato paste, oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until smooth. Set aside.
- Make crust: Combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add warm water and oil; mix until well blended, about 1 minute. Gradually add remaining flour, a little at a time, until a soft, sticky dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a floured surface; knead until dough is smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes. Add more flour as needed. (If using RapidRise yeast, let dough rest, covered, for 10 minutes.)
- Divide dough in half. Lightly flour your hands, then pat each piece of dough onto the prepared pizza pans.
- Top dough with sauce, cheese, and pepperoni.
- Bake in the preheated oven until crusts are browned and cheese is bubbly, 18 to 20 minutes. Rotate pizza pans between the top and bottom oven racks halfway through baking.
- Store leftover tomato paste in the freezer.

delicious homemade Pizza
We think no need to use water in sauce. We had to reduce it.
This was the best homeade pizza crust I’ve ever had. I made another (not pictured) with the same crust but deep dish style in a cast iron pan. Cooked it the same amount of time in the oven, but I preheated the pan on the stove and put olive oil on the bottom before i the the dough in. First ten minutes top rack, second 10 minutes bottom rack. SO GOOD. I dipped the crust in Chunky Tomato Gsrlic & Onion Ragu Sauce…..

For never making homemade pizza in my life. I think I did good. Great taste. I think I need to knead the dough longer. Had a bit of a flour taste. But over all nice crispy crust, sauce was good. Will make again
I have made this recipe three times so far, and it is my family’s favorite homemade pizza recipe. I only change two things about it, but they are small changes. I use 3 1/2 cups of flower instead of the 3 1/4 cups the recipe calls for. I also substitute the Oregano with Italian Seasoning. It is absolutely delicious.

Great as is, never again Papa John’s. Next one no onion and bell pepper – kids wouldn’t you know. And don’t forget the 1/2 cup water in the sauce (I’m getting old). Oops, I added pepper, mushrooms and onion – not the recipe.
We rate this recipe a 4 star because there was too much pizza sauce. We think it could have more cheese. As a topping, we added pineapple.

It was amazing!!!!! It was really easy to make. It was really tasty and I didn’t have to make many changes.
I would cut the salt entirely from the sauce as the pepperoni adds enough. Other than that, the sauce is delicious. I also added mushrooms and green onions as toppings. The crust held up beautifully and tasted great. Will definely be using this recipe in future and will vary the toppings.

It was delicious! The crust was outstanding and so quick and easy. The flavor of the sauce just right! I did sprinkle flat leaf parsley on afterward that looked pretty. Used one Italian sausage, crumbled and browned plus small ham pieces, grilled some vegetables: bell pepper strips, red onion strips, some cherry tomatoes getting wrinkled, and sliced zucchini. The vegetables were added to the pizza before it went into the oven. Shredded provolone cheese added on top. It was so good, I like pizza again!
Loved it! Instead of oil I used olive oil. Super delicious and fluffy.
