Yield: 1 cookie mix

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  3. ½ teaspoon salt
  4. 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  5. ½ cup white sugar
  6. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  2. Cover and decorate the jar as desired. Copy baking instructions onto a tag and attach to the jar.
  3. Baking Instructions: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Mix 3/4 cup unsalted butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until creamy. Add 1 large egg and 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract; mix well. Slowly add cookie mix; mix until completely blended. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet briefly before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes 36 cookies.
