Delicious chocolate chip cookies. After years of tinkering, this recipe has finally been nailed down.

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  2. ½ cup butter, melted
  3. 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  4. 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
  5. 1 cup chopped walnuts
  6. 1 cup shredded coconut
  7. ½ cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter together in a bowl until evenly moistened; press into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Pour 1/2 of the can of sweetened condensed milk over the graham cracker crust. Sprinkle semisweet chocolate chips, walnuts, coconut, and white chocolate chips over the graham cracker crust; gently press chocolate, nuts, and coconuts into the crust. Drizzle remaining 1/2 can of condensed milk over the top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until fragrant and coconut is golden, 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

Delicious! I usually use Ritz crackers instead of graham crackers, as that’s what’s more likely to be in my cupboard. I use about half the butter called for with the crackers.

Wish I’d read the reviews and changed this up a bit. I heartily agree that the Graham cracker crust should be baked first. These didn’t set up for me and are really messy. Made it for Super Bowl tomorrow and so disappointed.

I do this exact thing except I switch out the white chocolate for butterscotch chips and add sweet and spicy candied pecans instead of walnuts !! So good !

I love these! My grandma used to make them every year for Christmas, but she used butterscotch chips instead of the white chocolate chips, so that’s what I do too.

I love Hello Dollys! My mom made them for years but instead of graham cracker crumbs, she used lightly crushed corn flakes. The corn flakes are less sweet than the graham cracker crumbs, but have a slight saltiness that complements the richness of the other ingredients and give the bars a little crunch. So yummy!

We’ve made this in the past, and have never been disappointed. It’s fun to improvise with other additional toppings – butterscotch chips, pretzel pieces and toffee crumbles have worked well. Easy and fun for kids to participate as well. One caveat with this recipe – If you choose a 9×13 pan as suggested, you will need to add about 50% more graham crackers and butter in order to cover the entire bottom of the pan. Otherwise, just use a smaller pan, say 11 x 7.

I made this and substituted pecans for the walnuts and used snickers morsels in addition to the chocolate chip morsels. It came out very tasty!

So good, I’ve already made it twice. Dubbed them COVID bars. No adjustment needed for high altitude (8,000 ft). Only dishes besides the baking dish are a rubber spatula and measuring scoop. Melt the butter right in the baking dish while the oven preheats, stir in the crumbs (no mess if you roll the crackers in a plastic bag), add toppings. Delicious.

This is an excellent recipe and received rave reviews. I had to add a little more graham wafer crumbs(maybe 1/4 cup) to the 1/2 cup of melted butter as it seemed too moist with just 1 1/2 cups of the crumbs. Otherwise it was a keeper

These are perfect, I use actual graham wafers and chop them up in the food processor, one sleeve works. I also use one cup of white chocolate chips, but that is the only change
