Although tri-tips are obviously ideal for the grill, life and the weather don’t often allow for outside cooking. So, here’s a backup plan that earns an A in our household.
Prep Time: | 15 mins |
Total Time: | 15 mins |
Servings: | 1 |
Yield: | 1 smoothie |
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon white sugar, or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon, or to taste
- 3 ice cubes
Instructions
- Blend blueberries, yogurt, orange juice, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon together in a blender on low speed for 30 seconds; increase speed to high and blend until smooth, about 2 minutes. Add ice and blend on high until smooth, about 1 minute more.
- If you want it less thick, add less ice. If you want it less cold, add less ice.
- I do not recommend using regular yogurt, because it will make the smoothie super watery.
- If you want it sweeter, try adding more orange juice first. If that doesn’t do it, add another tablespoon of sugar or sweetener.
- If you don’t like vanilla, don’t add it!

Delicious I added vanilla yogurt to mine instead of the vanilla and also added half of banana.
I used no OJ, Sugar, or Cinnamon.
I made this smoothie and all it tasted like was yogurt I did not like it.
I thought that this smoothie was so good! My kids loved it. And I would definitely recommend this!
The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because I played with the recipe. I used honey instead of sugar and added a banana just because I had one I needed to use. My blueberries were frozen and I did use the ice cubes as well. I increased the orange juice because of the added banana. It was yummy and I am sure the basic recipe is really good as well.
I loved it. I used a frozen blend of blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, used about 3/4 cup of OJ, and since the berries were frozen, I left out the ice. It came out really good, especially for my 2nd attempt ever at a smoothie.
Instead of yogurt I used about a 1/4-1/2 of advocaco and didn’t add the vanilla oh my gosh yummy!!! Also I used honey instead of sugar
Yum!! My husband and I absolutely love this smoothie. It’s so creamy and tasty. We made a couple little tweaks here and there… For the yogurt I use Greek Gods nonfat Greek yogurt. I use Truvia instead of regular white sugar and I use Tropicana 50 instead of regular orange juice to cut back on sugar. Turned out amazing! We have it everyday! 🙂
it is really good and it has helped me a lot through out the like 2 years i have had it other day i drink it at least.
From now on, this is my go to recipe for whenever I am craving something fruity and refreshing. I used frozen mixed berries and plain yogurt instead. It wasn’t too thin at all! I also omitted the vanilla flavoring.
It was very tarty and I don’t like that but if you do follow the recipe exactly. If you like it sweet and fruity add more sugar and a few more blueberrys.
I used Greek vanilla yogurt and omitted the sugar and vanilla extract. Absolutely delicious!
no changes will make again
I substituted the Greek yogurt and vanilla extract for Vanilla yogurt and it was so delicious. I think this is a great recipe for breakfast on the go or in a hurry.??
It tastes amazing! Definitely doing it again.
Took me less than 15 minutes. It still takes a bit longer to make than other smoothies, but it is worth it.
Delicious! Vanilla ice cream in place of the yogurt makes a good milkshake, too.
really tasty. I did not put the sugar in it…still plenty sweet!
I always had honey instead of sugar
This was great! I really liked it. Prepared as written except left out the ice cubes as I used frozen blueberries and substituted Stevia for the regular sugar. Thanks for the recipe! I will make this again!
The best Omitted the sugar because I used the half of a large ripe orange.
