Parmesan, mozzarella, and cream cheese are used to fill spinach lasagna rolls. More Parmesan cheese is sprinkled on top of these savory rolls, which are then heated through and bubbling in the oven.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 5 mins
Additional Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Servings: 12
Yield: 12 pumpkins

Ingredients

  1. 5 cups popped popcorn
  2. 1 cup candy corn
  3. 1 cup chopped salted peanuts
  4. ½ cup butter or margarine
  5. 3 cups miniature marshmallows
  6. 4 drops red food coloring
  7. 3 drops yellow food coloring
  8. 4 sticks red or black licorice, cut into thirds

Instructions

  1. Grease a muffin pan and set aside. Place popcorn, candy corn and peanuts into a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in marshmallows, red food coloring and yellow food coloring, adjusting color if needed to get a nice shade of orange. When the marshmallows are completely melted, pour over the popcorn and stir to evenly distribute the candy, nuts and marshmallow.
  3. Use a greased spoon to fill the muffin cups. Insert a piece of licorice to act as the stem, and mold the popcorn around it. Let stand until firm, 10 to 15 minutes, and then pull the pumpkins out by their stems and admire your pumpkin patch!

Before checking this recipe I tried popcorns by Thatchers Gourmet Popcorns and popcorns by them are ultimate in taste. This is the first time i tried making Halloween popcorns at home and my kids love it. They love these small popcorn pumpkins. This is the 2nd time I am making these Halloween popcorn pumpkin and this time I am using different flavors too. Hope it will take awesome.

Theses are really cute and easy to make. I would suggest putting them in a cupcake liner though. I follow the recipe exactly and they didn’t really hold together.

Extremely messy did not set well. I also used recedes pieces

I followed the recipe and the ball came out gooey. The popcorn was soggy. I used my stove top hand popper. Flavor was ok but this is not my idea of a good popcorn ball.

This was a very interesting endeavor! I had to double the amount of popcorn to make it easier to handle and less gooey/sticky. I could not find green licorice, so used chocolate instead. It made the pumpkin balls more realistic. After the balls were made, I stuck pieces of candy corn on them to make eyes, noses and mouths. It was fun, to say the least, and the reaction of the kids when they saw them was amazing. The leftover “pumpkins” tasted better after they sat in the fridge for a day. I caught my husband sneaking the extras. He thought they were a great treat. Maybe next year I’ll make them for his office staff!

I just made balls by hand, then had to reshape a bit after inserting licorice .

Super easy to do a little messy because I let the kiddos make the popcorn balls. But so fun to do , just a little cooking spray on the hands and your good to go. Have fun, we did!

It turned out real tasty. I did add a few caramels and Reese’s pieces. Then used a MINI Reese’s cup upside down for the stem. I couldn’t find any color of licorice other than red or black. I made sure it had a sticky spot so the chocolate would stay. Wrapped in clear wrap tied in colorful ribbon. Kids lived it

Left out the nuts on one batch To many kiddos with nut a

Lots of work, but cute! Couldn’t find green liquorice 🙁

These were cute and easy. I added some melted caramels, as others suggested, and some min marshmallows to the popcorn. But they were too sweet, and never “firmed”, even after 24 hours.
Ashley Hardy
Too sweet

Made these for my son’s 4th grade Halloween party this year. All the kids loved them.

Added 6 caramel nips, as well as the additional food coloring that was suggested . It made for the perfect flavor, and the color was much deeper. Definitely very sticky to handle and quite a bit of work to put together. Makes 12 very large pumpkins.

A fun halloween treat – made them while I was at college for a tail gate party, they were gobbled up

These were great! Prize winner for desserts at a church activity:)

Giving this a 2 because it is a good idea, but the ratio of popcorn to marshmallow sauce. Getting things out of the muffin tin, even with greasing things, was a mess. After the 1st batch which I followed the directions exactly flopped, I made another batch using a popcorn ball recipe I had. That worked better because I formed the balls & wrapped in saran wrap & put in the refrigerator for awhile. I don’t know if I’ll make again or not, but won’t use as many peanuts since I don’t like to many in stuff like this.

Instead of food coloring, I use flavored jello powder which colors the popcorn balls and adds great choice of flavors! I like addition of licorice for stem. Very cute!

Made these yesterday for our annual Fall get tog ether.I was very disappointed in these. They were so gooey and did not set up at all. I followed the instructions to the tee. I won’t be making these again.

These were a hit at our last Halloween party, although they were a bit tricky to shape and keep together! Super tasty though!
Sarah Marsh
disappointing as far as taste goes, even after adding some brown sugar the butter which I cut in half. will try another recipe next time.
