A very tasty recipe! After reading the comments we did make a few changes and it turned out wonderful. We sauteed some onions in butter. While they were cooking we seasoned the chops with salt and pepper and browned them. We put the browned chops in a casserole dish, topped them with the sauteed onions. We mixed the cream of mushroom soup with 3/4 cup of milk and 3/4 cup of water, we added an envelope of pork gravy mix and a couple of dashes of onion powder, whisked this together and poured the mixture over the chops and baked them according to the directions. This is a keeper.

I love how versatile this recipe is. I took some notes from other comments and did my own thing. I sauted onion garlic, mushrooms and 1/4 of a chopped seeded jalapeno and put in a side bowl. I thin-sliced 2 potatoes and browned them in butter in a skillet. Those were placed in the bottom of the baking dish. The browned pork chops were put on top of the potatoes. The gravy sauce is made in the same skillet, scraping up all the brown bits. I used beef broth instead of water and threw in some Worcester for good measure. Finally, I mixed in the onion/mushroom mixture and poured it over the pork chops before baking. So good!

What a great recipe! Made according to instructions except used all milk and a little garlic. It’s hard not to be tempted to think of something to add because it’s so simple, but I’ve made it twice now and I think it would ruin it to add things. I liked it ok with the garlic, but I’ve decided it probably doesn’t need it. The second time I used 1 1/2 cans of soup and proportional milk and water. I like lots of gravy and this was perfect for me. I also think it helps the flavor to get the chops nice and brown first. This is going on my regular rotation!

So I made this simple yet delicious dish for my Mom years ago. She LOVED it. Now she is several years older (her age to remain secret for threat of my murder) and I have made it again. Remember, most of our elderly require tender, chewable, delicious meals …. JUST LIKE THIS ONE! ♡

Easy, fast and yummy!! I used onion powder because I don’t like onions. Pork chops were juicy and tender and were fabulous the following day!!

It was DELICIOUS and definitely a family dinner keeper! I boosted the flavor a bit by added a dash of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, onion and garlic powder to the soup mixture and stirring it in the pan the meat and onions were sautéed in to pick up all of the wonderful pan drippings before pouring it over the pork chops. Love it!

It was OK but nothing spectacular. The gravy was rather runny so I would reduce the amount of water. 2-3-22

I sautéed some mushrooms and minced garlic in the butter and scrapings left in the pan After browning the pork chops then mixed them in with the gravy. I also increased the gravy with two cans of soup and a 1/2 c of milk. Cooked for 55 mins as my boneless pork chops were thick. Served with mashed potato’s, green beans with onion powder and butter along with some mandrin oranges. It was fantastic. Pork Chops were very juicy and tender and had plenty of gravy for potatoes. My husband loved it and we both had seconds.

This is a very old tried and true recipe. My mom made it for our large family back in the 60’s and 70’s. She added sliced carrots and onions along with small cuts of round steak instead of pork chops. It made an excellent meal served with potatoes.

It was easy to make just needed to go a little longer on stove top to brown my center cuts they were a thicker cut also added a half cup of green onions to mixture for color. Yum Yum Thanks

This was absolutely horrible !! I should have known better than to bake pork for 45 minutes. The gravy was watery and bland and the pork was tough and tasteless. I am a huge All Recipe fan, and I always read the reviews. I made it as written and it was bad. IDK if I could fix the recipe with some tweaks. I was looking for a healthy alternative to cracker crumb breading and pan frying, but I think I’ll just stick with mom’s method.

This was very easy to make. The pork chops were moist with lots of gravy. I’d make it again.

Quick, easy peaszy; this will be my go to week dinner. I like recipes that don’t require a lot of ingredients or using a lot of equipment to prepare a 1-person meal. Easy cleanup also.

Awesome recipe. It was very flavorful. I left out the water and added a couple dashes of soy sauce. They turned out perfect!! We will definitely be having these again!!

I make it with Cream of Celery instead of mushroom.

We made this, but we used Golden Mushroom soup instead of the cream of mushroom soup. It was amazing!

I have been making these for years. It is a great recipe to use with pork steaks a cheaper cut of meat. I season mine with salt, pepper and garlic powder. I don’t put milk in mine. Brown the chops then put into a casserole dish. Put the soup and water in the skillet to deglaze the pan. Pour over meat and cover dish. I bake mine for about ninety minutes. So easy and absolutely fabulous. Mashed potatoes on the side….yum!
