Graham Cracker Pie Crust

Ingredients

  1. 8 ounces butter
  2. 2 ounces granulated sugar
  3. 2 ounces honey
  4. 10 ounces all-purpose flour
  5. 3 ounces whole-wheat flour
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream together butter and sugars. Mix in honey. Stir in the flours, salt and cinnamon, and mix until just incorporated. Refrigerate dough for 2 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. 
  3. Divide dough equally and fill pie pans. Bake in preheated oven until just set.

For those who say ‘no graham cracker’, please note use of flour, cinnamon, honey etc. You’re making a modified graham dough.

No hydrogenated fats (lard) and very easy to make!
Maybe add a little more sugar depending on what kind of pie you’re making.

FYI: One, let the dough set in the pie pan just to make things easier. Two, this recipe will provide enough dough for two 8″-9″ pies.
