This is quite good. We made it in my friend’s basement on election night in 2010 and helped wash away my political angst. We dialed back a little on the ginger ale and added a bit more of the Goldschlager and it came out to our liking.
There’s really nothing wrong with Sandra making drinks on each show, as it is a normal part of a dinner party. I tend to gravitate more towards her show than anyone else’s because I feel like if I were dragged to a garden party or something by my girlfriend or family, I’d be in the corner drinking and Sandra would be there with me drinking and laughing merrily the whole time.
i thought this was pretty good! One is plenty and I used diet gingerale.(as it IS sweet Everybody has a right to their opinion, but ‘my kitchen’ seems to be a hater. The Nealys, Rachel Ray, Martha Stewart, etc…ALL make delicious cocktails to go with a meal. are they ALL lushes? Maybe you need to go to a meeting or have a secret crush on Sandra Lee??? Just sayin….
Killeen, having an adult beverage at a party does not make anyone a lush. Name calling is rude and mean.
It was well-liked at the party; a little sweet.
As a single working parent, I really love the quick recipes and beautiful setting ideas. I plan on making this meal for an upcoming birthday dinner. Looks so elegant; I’ll keep the “semi” my secret.
