Gingerbread Martini

a side dish to serve when you need to use up a lot of garden-grown leeks and carrots. The kids and wife both like it.

Ingredients

  1. 1 ounce Irish cream liqueur (such as Bailey’s®)
  2. 1 ounce milk
  3. ½ (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua®)
  4. ½ (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
  5. ½ (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger gingerbread-flavored syrup (such as Monin®)
  6. ¼ cup ice, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine Irish cream liqueur, milk, coffee-flavored liqueur, vodka, and gingerbread flavored syrup in a cocktail mixer. Fill with ice, cover, and shake vigorously until combined. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

As much as I like Bailey’s, it’s the only flavor I could detect. I used Torani Gingerbread syrup and I think it needs to be more, maybe 1 oz or even more. Another thing I would do is omit the milk. I will play around with this until the gingerbread flavor comes through.
