Garlic Shrimp Linguine

  4.3 – 735 reviews  • Shrimp Scampi

These baked beans have the same flavor as classic ground beef baked beans from the South, but they are entirely vegetarian.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Servings: 8

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound uncooked linguine
  2. 1 tablespoon butter
  3. 3 tablespoons white wine
  4. 3 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 2 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  6. 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  7. salt and pepper to taste
  8. 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook linguine at a boil until tender yet firm to the bite, about 11 minutes. Drain.
  2. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Add wine, garlic, Parmesan cheese, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer, stirring frequently, over low heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and add shrimp to the saucepan; cook until shrimp begins to turn pink, 3 to 4 minutes. Do not overcook.
  4. Divide pasta into 8 bowls. Spoon shrimp with sauce on top. Garnish with Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  5. If you saw this recipe in the “Vegetable Insurgency” article in the Jun/Jul/Aug 2015 issue of Allrecipes, we added 5 ounces of baby spinach to it. If you want to add spinach to this dish, add it after you start cooking the shrimp. Then remove the pan from the heat, so the spinach wilts and the shrimp don’t overcook.

Very tasty! I used 2 pounds of shrimp and half a pound of noodles. I made the sauce according to the recipe but I multiplied it by 5 and this was for two people. I read all of the reviews and I wanted to make sure it was saucy enough. Overall it was perfect. Very tasty and I’ll definitely be making it again. I served this main dish with green beans and garlic bread. Nice!

It wasn’t enough sauce for me so I added 1 pint of heavy cream and substituted the parsley with Italian seasoning. I also increased he amount of wind to about a cup and I added about a 1/2 pound of parmesan cheese as well and about 9 cloves of garlic

The dish was flavorful and quick to make. There wasn’t much sauce. So you wont ness as much pasta as called for in the recipe. I would make this dish again.

Super delicious! Used lemon garlic linguine. With others’ advice, I adjusted the ratio = doubled the butter & wine and less pasta, added basil. Also added cheese AFTER noodles & shrimp were added. Yum!

The ratio of Pasta to sauce is completely off. Triple the ingredients for the sauce if your using 1 lb. of pasta. The sauce was alright. Not what I was expecting.

I love easy recipes that turn into something delicious. I doubled the ingredients for 1/2 lb. of pasta as a reviewer suggested to make more sauce, but it was still slightly dry. Next time I will add a bit of the hot pasta water to make it more saucy. I used large prawns with the tail on and lots of fresh premade chopped garlic. Other than that, this dish taste as good as some I have had in fancy restaurants

I made this and it was quick, easy and delicious! The ingredients are simple and combine nicely. Being from Louisiana, I seasoned the shrimp with a little Tony Chachere’s Seasoning Salt. I also added a little fresh lemon juice. Thanks for this great recipe.

Not at all tasty. Very bland. No where near enough sauce. Needs a lot of work to get an eatable entrée .

Perfect with a side of greens.

Followed to the T, and it did not disappoint! Simple and tasty. Hubby told me I’d knocked it out of the park so… Must have been a good one!

It was a fast delicious meal. I added 2 tbsp of olive oil before adding the pasta. Stirred then added pasta and stirred again. Before serving, I added a little butter to taste. My husband loved it.

This recipe is too bland for me.

Made this a couple times according to the recipe. Good but a little bland. Will work with this and do something to amp up the flavor. Maybe pepper flakes or lemon to brighten it up.

Although I never had shrimp, in my family we eat them with rice, but after looking at these pictures, I will try it when get the chance. Dubai Tires

I tried this recipe and it was so easy to make and tasted great. The whole family loved it!!

We loved it, served with a side of broccoli. Did have to make a few tweaks. Since there is only 2 of us, I scaled the recipe down to 2 servings, and only used 1/4 lb pasta & shrimp. I also used 1-1/2 teaspoons of minced garlic (from a jar). The rest of the ingredients I used 4-5 times more than the recipe called for. Next time I think I will add some baby spinach and mushrooms.

Recipe needs to be doubled in order to have enough sauce

Tasted amazing. Though if you like saucy noodles I recommend doubling or tripling the recipe. I enjoyed it as a lighter pasta. I substituted fish for the shrimp and pan fried it first, cooking the sauce in the pan after. I used angel hair instead of linguine as well as I’m trying to eat better. For those trying to transition to eating better but love their pasta this is a great recipe to help with that transition as there are many ways to modify and add twists such as veggies or other noodles and proteins.
