This is my own interpretation of the feta appetizer served at our favorite Greek restaurant in the area. At dinner parties, this is a constant hit. It is excellent especially with the sun-dried tomatoes! Pita bread should be served warm or grilled.

Ingredients
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, divided
- ⅛ teaspoon paprika
- ⅛ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 ½ pounds pork chops
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
Instructions
- Mix salt, Italian seasoning, black pepper, chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder together in a bowl. Sprinkle spice mixture generously on both sides of pork chops.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook pork until no longer pink in the center and golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Transfer pork chops to a serving plate, reserving juices in the skillet.
- Add lime juice and remaining garlic powder to the same skillet and mix into leftover juices. Stir to combine and pour over the pork chops.

Confused over the garlic powder amounts. In the ingredient list: “1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, divided” In Step 1: “1/4 teaspoon garlic powder” In Step 3: “2 teaspoons garlic powder” I used less than 2t in step 3 and was extremely good. Making a bunch of the dry seasoning mix to have on hand!
Excellent!! My husband and I love this
Great recipe! Added more lime juice for my taste. I made it with a recipe for potatoes cooked in the oven w/ lime and lemon from the site.
I did chop 1.5 ” and ended up to dry in middle. Stay with 1″ and should be fine. Great taste and will be doing this again.
Easy! Delicious! Served with golden Yukon potatoes, applesauce and salad – Phenomenal! Followed recipe exactly except used lemon juice, did not have lime juice. Very similar to a favorite lemon chicken. New go-to for pork chops!
Just made these today. They were excellent and so easy to make! We had homemade sauerkraut with them for an excellent meal.
Using all listed seasonings (except salt) plus Old Bay, minced garlic, tumeric, and to the mix. I don’t measure so can’t help with the amounts. Followed STEP 1 & 2 using an iron skillet. Then, placed chops in the crockpot on high with tablespoonfuls of drippings and lime juice on top of each. My STEP 3 included adding to skillet: a package of onion soup, tumeric, Greek seasoning, and 2c wild rice to the iron skillet, mixed together, browned (stirring occasionally) on medium heat apprx 5 minutes. Added, sweet peas (leftovers from fridge so this will be optional next time) and 4c water. Bring to boil, cover, cook until liquid is absorbed. STEP 4–Remove chops; pour rice mixture and 1c water into crockpot; cover; reduce heat to warm until suppertime.
WOW!! Very good with great flavors!!
Yummy!
I used only half the garlic powder at the end in the sauce & it tasted great.
Tasty. Added a honey glaze to some of the chops for balance..
I followed this recipe exactly and it turned out wonderfully. I used bone in chops and they took a bit longer to cook, but the result was well worth it!!!
Easy, quick, and tasty. Kids loved the flavor.
Super easy to prepare. Light, yet tasteful. Have made it twice, and will make again.
It’s a little light on the spices. Will bump them up next time. I didn’t listen to the reviewer who said, go easy on the lime. I didn’t, I should have! I used a very think chop, so popped in the oven for 5 minutes. It’s a good recipe. I’ll tweak it and make it again.
So simple and quick. And quite delicious! Don’t go overboard on the lime juice…. it can be overpowering. Use the prescribed quantity. Wonderful recipe!
Very good, hubby loves it, I did have to add more lime juice because I used a cast iron pan.
This recipe was so easy and fast! I didn’t have onion salt so I simply excluded it. I also substituted the salt for roasted garlic salt. This is definitely a “do over!”
DELICIOUS!!! I didn’t have garlic powder so diced up a garlic clove and sauteed in the lime juice at the end. This will be on my regular rotation. I can’t wait to try it on chicken also!
This is an excellent recipe, easy to make, and very delicious. I have made this several times.
Add a little onion at the end with lime juice and garlic. It was very good.
