Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, slightly softened
  2. 4 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
  3. Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the butter and garlic in a food processor or with a mixer until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

I keep garlic butter in my refrigerator now. But, I do two things differently from this recipe – I use more garlic (8 cloves) and I add a teaspoon of olive oil so that after a time, my butter does not get too firm. Sometimes I make a batch adding parsley and herbs, too. But the basics of this recipe is what I lean on.

Just the right spice! Spreading this on bread with dinner works much better than making garlic bread. Alternatively, I could use this to make garlic bread, but I’d rather not. Worth a try, though if we see the need. The would also be great on steak. Thanks for sharing.
