Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup margarine
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3 cups rolled oats
- ¾ cup butterscotch chips
- ¾ cup chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Mix flour, brown sugar, 1 cup margarine, eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon baking soda together in a bowl until combined. Stir in oats. Press 2/3 the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Melt butterscotch, chocolate chips, and 2 tablespoons margarine in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in condensed milk and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract until smooth. Pour into the baking pan; crumble remaining oat mixture on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until set, about 25 minutes. Cool for at least 10 minutes. Cut into squares.
- Substitute butter for margarine, if desired.
- You can use all chocolate chips or all butterscotch chips. I love to mix half and half for the best of both!

SO RICH. SO SO RICH
didn’t realize till after I started making it that it’s almost exactly like a family recipe I haven’t made for years. Very good
This was such a throwback to my childhood. I LOVED Fudge Jumbles and haven’t had them in forever. My sugar tolerance has gone way down since then, so I cut 1 cup of sugar from the crumble and used 72% cocoa chocolate chips. Next time I would use sugar free chips to try to further cut back the sweet. But…they were a dream! Absolutely delicious!
Very tasty. Took them to church and work and everyone love them
Absolutely delicious! I used semi-sweet chocolate chips with the butterscotch. I agree that it was a bit gooey, but that doesn’t bother me.
Oh my, way too sweet and gooey did not look like the picture! Made exactly the recipe! Think it will be served as ice cream topping
Really tasty… went over well at church. Only thing I would change next time is maybe use a little less condensed milk… it was a little gooey
