i layered the bread on the bottom, about 6 slices texas toast, sprinkled them with sugar and cinnamon, then cubed the remaining loaf, set it aside in a large bowl, then I added an egg, 1/2 c sugar, 1/3 c heavy whipping cream 2 T vanilla to the 16 oz cream cheese, poured on the bread slices, then cut through the cheese and bread with a sharp knife , mixed up the remaining ingredients i used 2 c heavy whipping cream, and a T of cinnamon as well, poured over cubed bread in bowl mixed with spatula until coated poured over the top let it set as recommeand it was delicious!!!

Just ok. Not worth even the few ingredients it takes. Not much flavor and definitely not worth serving to guests.

Love this! I am not a big fan of French Toast as a stand alone, but I love it in this casserole bake and so do my family and friends.

I used Texas toast. First, I would not suggest spreading the cream cheese spread on the bread and then cutting the bread. What a mess! Next time, I will cube the bread and drop small amounts of the cream cheese in with the bread. Second, there was not near enough liquid to get a moist texture. One pinch of cinnamon? Not enough at all! About halfway through the cooking time, I added 1/2 c. of warm milk, dotted the top with butter, more cinnamon and some sugar. I would also suggest spraying the casserole dish with pam and covering it with foil until right before it is done. I am glad I did not make this for company this time. I will make a few tweaks when I make it again.

This is really good. Baked up fluffy and great flavor from the syrup and cream cheese. I ran out of regular cream cheese and finished my bread slices with strawberry flavored. I used a teaspoon of cinnamon. So good!
