One of my husband’s favorite drop cookies, and it’s simple to make. To make the recipe, use genuine butter.

This was easy to make, and was very flavorful. I made it from the recipe no changes and it was delicious.
I’ve made this twice now, the first time as written and for my taste, it was very spicy (I tripled the recipe and used 9 Tbsp of taco seasoning.) Still, the meat was very tasty. The second time, I used only 5 Tbsp of taco seasoning for 3 lbs of meat and it was perfect! I make that much because it is very easy to eat with tacos right after cooking, and freeze the rest for future use in tortilla soup, nachos, etc. This is definitely one of the best recipes I’ve found on this site and is now a regular for us!
Made it as written. Made chicken nachos , husband loved it! Making chicken tacos with leftovers
I feel it’s the perfect recipe! Easy, inexpensive, extremely tasty.
I hope this comes across as humor and not spam. While making another recipe from this site, I used the excess chicken from a big packet, I had a little over 2 lb. of chicken, so just doubling the recipe. I’d read a few of the reviews and I listened, well, a little. I was going to use some frozen chicken stock I’d made, but when defrosting it, there were weird bits in it, so in the bin it went. I used just one cup of water, deciding the taco seasoning had enough salt already over a can of broth. I didn’t premix the water and taco seasoning having skipped that step on accident. Set the slow cooker to low and told my ADHD self to turn it off at bed time… Well, anyway, the next morning I come out to the kitchen, which smelled wonderful btw, and starting puttering about making breakfast. I worked around the slow cooker for a good minute making coffee before realizing the chicken got an extra 6, for a total of 10 hours in the slow cooker on low. I pulled the plug, let it cool a bit and shredded it. Chef’s kiss or um, Cook’s kiss I guess.
I made this for my Parents(my Mom is real critical) & my Son they all loved it & I made it exactly like the recipe said to do the Chicken was real easy to shred & real tender
Very tasty and easy to make. My grandkids love it!
My husband and I enjoyed it to the last bite. We don’t care for bland chicken , which I feared, so I added rotel and chili powder. Total hit.
I used two pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and I used the entire packet of chicken taco seasoning. I also added a large can of diced green chilies. I did cook the chicken for approximately four hours and it turned out perfect! This is a super easy recipe and is very delicious. Definitely will make again and share this recipe with my family.
I have made this before and as a couple of people have mentioned, it’s not really hugely flavorful. I added one tsp of cumin, one tsp of freshly ground black pepper and a tablespoon of freshly-squeezed lime juice, and that really brought out some of the taco seasoning flavor. I really like cilantro, so add freshly-shredded cilantro to taste for the last 15 minutes of cooking. However, not everyone likes cilantro, my youngest son among them, so be careful there.
So easy and incredibly delicious!
I use an entire packet of reduced sodium taco seasoning, mix with chicken broth and then pour over chicken. When its done ,I put in some salsa and mix with shredded chicken.
Simply delicious!! Shredded cheese and green olives slices on top!! Hmm
Made as written; the meat was very tender but it needed more flavor.
Good taste
My only criticism is that chicken breasts are done in the slow cooker after 3.5-4 hrs max, the meat will overcook and dry out if you go 6 hrs like the recipe suggests. Does better-tasting chicken taco meat exist? Yes. Is it THIS EASY to make? Not by a long shot. This recipe deserves 5 stars for work-to-reward ratio alone. The meat is great, especially if you shred and remix with the broth.
This is the easiest way imaginable to make moist, flavorful shredded chicken. I forgot to thaw the meat, so I tossed in frozen chicken instead, and it still turned out perfectly. This is my new go-to for taco night!
2 lbs chicken breast, added a jar of salsa and entire packet of taco seasoning. From the Grandkids to my husband it was a hit! This will definitely be on our rotation menu with company.
Great recipe & my husband (who is it into chicken lately) & 3 kids all loved it The only thing I changed was that I Wanted to use for quite right vine tomatoes, so I just record them and puréed the tomatoes (skin on), taco seasoning & broth in my bullet-smoothie maker, with some olive oil. Poured that onto the chicken & it shredded great several hours later – so good on soft tacos, & jambalaya
Definitely quick and easy! I used a little extra broth and whole grape tomatoes. When the chicken was cooked (before shredding) I squished the tomatoes and used the extra juices to make Mexican rice!
Easy and delicious!
