These are so easy and tasty! As a previous reviewer said, these are great if you already love fried dough (like me). I put just a couple inches of veggie oil in a small saucepan to make these with some leftover pie dough which worked fine and had virtually no mess! Don’t bother using a ton of oil and risking splashes and burns.
So easy. So yummy. I look forward to dusting them with a little cinnamon sugar next time I make them!
This is basically nothing more than carnival food, such as elephant ears. And now I know why they charge so much for them…what a mess to make! If fried dough is your thing, go for it, but I’d rather make a dozen other cookies than these again. Taste is just okay, and they are greasy and messy. Not worth it to me.
