Level: Easy
Total: 10 min
Active: 10 min
Yield: about 1 cup

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  3. 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  4. 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  5. 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  6. 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
  7. 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  8. 1/2 teaspoon alcohol-free vanilla extract
  9. 1/3 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Microwave the flour in a small microwave-safe bowl for 1 minute. Remove and stir well. Microwave for an additional minute or until the temperature reaches 180 degrees F. Sift into a medium bowl, then whisk in the baking soda and salt (see Cook’s Note).
  2. Beat the brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter, yogurt and vanilla extract with an electric mixer on medium-high speed in a large bowl until well combined, about 2 minutes. Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until well incorporated. (Turn off the beaters and use your hands to help combine if needed.) Fold in the chocolate chips with a rubber spatula or mix them in with your hands.
  3. Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Recipe says 10 minutes. That’s just the cook time, the recipe took way longer than that. Tired of misleading recipes like this. I was searching for a quick recipe and got this one. This recipe is more like 20+ minutes. Please post accurate information.

Recipe is great though it did not turn out. I had to add about 1/4 cup of milk to the batter because it was way too crumbly to even be called batter.

It’s is a scrumptious cookie dough and it is not to watery and not to chunky. I made it for my family and I had to make for and more non-stop! I really love this desert.
Melissa Clark
It’s all clumpy
