  4.9 – 10 reviews  • White Chocolate

It’s incredibly simple to make these luscious cream cheese Oreo balls that have been covered in white chocolate, and you don’t even need to be an expert candy maker! By adding food coloring to the white chocolate and adding the required decorations, you may adapt these truffles for various celebrations.

Total Time: 1 hr 35 mins
Servings: 24
Yield: 24 truffles

Ingredients

  1. 1 (14 ounce) package chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®)
  2. 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  3. 2 (6 ounce) packages white chocolate baking squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with waxed paper.
  2. Place all cookies in a food processor; pulse into fine crumbs.
  3. Transfer cookie crumbs to a large bowl. Add cream cheese and beat with an electric mixer until a soft dough forms, scraping down the sides of the bowl and the beaters as needed to ensure even mixing.
  4. Roll dough mixture into 1-inch balls. Place balls onto the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
  5. Place white chocolate into a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl; microwave in 1-minute intervals, stirring after each interval, until melted, 3 to 4 minutes.
  6. Use two forks to dip each ball into melted chocolate; turn until ball is coated, then lift, letting excess chocolate drip back into the bowl, and return to the waxed paper. Refrigerate until chocolate coating is set, about 30 minutes.
  7. Do not use Double Stuf Oreos in this recipe. The cookie-filling ratio will not work.

Easy to make and delicious! I could have used another 6 oz of white chocolate.

Second year making these and they were just as much a hit as before. Making the cookie is super easy, but the coating is still an issue for me. I microwave melted the white chocolate last year and found it cooled down too quickly. I melted it and kept it on the stove this year and that seemed to work for a bit longer…it still seized up and I had to start with fresh. Next year smaller batches of chocolate and get faster, I guess. Also, milk chocolate seemed to not really set…I have those in the frig. Still yummy though.

Easy and delicious! I used Peppermint Oreos (available in December) and sprinkled crushed peppermint candies on top. These were a huge hit with my family.

These are very good and easy. I made them for a ladies lunch and they all disappeared qickly. The filling has a slight doughy taste. I think I might make them with mint flavored oreos or add a flavoring next time.

These are wonderful. My family loved them and if you want a taste, put one or two away while you are making them, or you will not get one. Changed nothing.

Easy and delicious!! Gourmet Dessert Chef status! We did 2 batches for a friends Christmas game night. Birthday Cake (Chocolate) Oreos for first batch. Winter Oreos for second batch. Dipped each batch half in white almond bark and half in chocolate almond bark. My husband add some sprinkles on top of each after I dipped them!
