We always had a fantastic New Mexican enchilada for Christmas Eve dinner. On a dish, arrange two to three enchiladas along with lettuce and tomatoes. Add guacamole, sour cream, or both as a garnish.

Pros: Easy to make ; Super fast preparation ; Cost effective Cons: Bland ; ratio of pasta to meat is off ; Use of canned condensed soup causes the taste the rely heavily on the brand Detailed summary: This dish isn’t horrible, but it isn’t good either. Its a recipe that you would make as an “everyday meal to get by” but its DEFINITELY not a dish you would make for an occasion. The taste is very bland and general, there is no real outstanding feature that makes it memorable. Also, the ratio of pasta to meat is way off, there is too much pasta and not enough meat.
…kinda blah- used Golden Mushroom soup
I was very displeased with this one. It was easy to make which was nice but the dish was very bland and had no taste to it. I will not make this again.
I think my family recipe is better, but this was pretty good as well! My Fiance enjoyed it.
I was looking forward to this, since I haven’t had stroganoff in years, and decided to try this ‘shortcut’ version. While it was quick to make, it was unfortunately pretty bland. The meat itself was seasoned well, but once everything was mixed together, there was a lack of flavor, more of like a Hamburger Helper-type dish. It could have used a few more ingredients, such as wine, Dijon mustard, parsley and/or onion. I ended up adding quite a bit of fresh-cracked pepper and salt to give it some flavor. I also ended up doubling the meat and the ratio was perfect.
This is the second stroganoff recipe I’ve tried, from this site and I guess I’ll keep trying. It was soo bland. I cooked onion with the hamburger and even used more garlic powder and seasoned salt. I dumped the soup into the hamburger mixture because I thought it would combine easier, and it did, and then I poured that into the noodles. I’ll use way less noodles if I make this again. Too many noodles, not enough meat.
Great base recipe. Like usual I made some adjustments. Baby bellas in place of canned. I sautéed the mushrooms, onion, and garlic then add the seasonings, Worcestershire, a beef bullion cube, and soups. Last I add the dairy. I do half sour cream and half greek yogurt for more of a tang. For topping (for looks) add rough chop of fresh flat leaf parsley! Taste like it took hours to make. But from start to finish, took me 45 minutes. I also brown the meat while sautéing the veggies. Time saver but does use another pan. Hope this helps someone. Enjoy!!!!!
My daughter and I made this. We used fresh baby Bella mushrooms and sautéed them with fresh garlic before adding the beef. We also added pepper, oregano, and onion powder. Everyone loved it!
I’ve made this a few times now and my family loves it. I know everyone likes to change this or that but I’ve cooked it exactly to recipe and never felt the need to change a thing. Thanks for the recipe!
Tasty, easy, and fast! I used frozen Italian meatballs instead of ground beef. Great weeknight dinner for busy families.
My husband is picky and he had thirds! It was really good. i just did 1 cup of milk and used onion instead of mushrooms, cuz we don’t care for mushrooms much. Really good!!
I added mushrooms for extra texture. I think there might have been too much sour cream, I was hoping for more of a gravy feel. Overall, it was good and we are enjoying the leftovers!
Easy and great comfort food. I made as directed with the exception of adding 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper for just a little warmth.
So I had to create an account just to leave a review. This is the easiest stroganoff I have ever made. It was really good. Kinda surprised. I followed the directions the best I could. An egg allergy doesn’t allow me to use egg noodles so I used Rotini. Adding this one to our ‘to keep’ list!
By itself, it was decent. Next time I’d let the creams/shrooms/burger all simmer together.
Used cream of chicken soup.
This was way too bland! Recipe needs to be reworked. Too many noodles and too little seasoning. Don’t know who designated the number of servings but I could have served my entire neighborhood. Will delete this from my recipe box.
This flavor of this was great, but it was a bit too saucy/soupy. I made the following alterations: skimped on the Worcestershire, (hubby doesn’t care that much for it) added onion powder, a splash of red wine, and a tsp of Beef flavor Better than Bouillon to beef while cooking. I used 1/2 c sour cream and 1/2 c Fage plain non-fat Greek yogurt. We served it over cauliflower rice which was browned in a dry, non-stick pan with Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning. Next time I will make less saucy by either only using one can of soup OR by reducing/omitting the milk. Will definitely make again since it was easy and tasty!
First thing I cooked for my boyfriend. He loved it and I still cook it for him. Making it tonight.
Deliciously good!!!!! We used beef tips instead of hamburger and it was delicious
I liked it because it wasn’t to hard to make but I added a little onion powder and added a little extra garlic. It wasn’t the best but it is a hearty meal.
