I created an account just to say how much I love this recipe. I did add some nice chunks of ginger to it. Using sesame oil instead of olive oil would be amazing too…..next time
Tasty, almost made as written. I used low sodium soy sauce and omitted the salt. Didn’t have green onions so I used a white one. Super easy. Served over rice.
Added a bit of garlic and ginger as others suggested. Tasted delicious, but a bit short of sauce. Maybe increase the soy sauce and olive oil a bit next time. Because there WILL be a next time!
Quick, easy and quite delicious. I added water chestnuts for texture
A bit bland but easy to make. I guess I was expecting more of a sweet and sour experience. I made it again with green and red peppers pineapple concentrate ginger and garlic and onion powders since that is all I had on hand. A bit better for my palate but easy-yes. Times on cooking accurate veges still had crispness
Thank you for that great recipe I just put more seasoning in I made it a second time aready
Excellent, easy and fast recipe. I used fresh pineapple and added a sprinkle of red pepper flakes. I served it over whole grain rice-DELISH!
It was a really tasty, I used fresh pineapple instead of can. My family loved every bite of it
Boring and very, very bland. Definitely missing something. Several somethings. I even added a lot of garlic, which did not help.
Excellent recipe idea! Delicious, too! I sprinkled sesame seeds over the top before serving. I served over a bed of hot cooked white rice. I used a large skillet to prepare this dish.
My husband loves the dish. Easy to make. Thank you!
Recipe looks like a slant to Sweet & Sour, but also appears to be really plain, and sure enough that is what I see in the comments. If this is supposed to be Chinese, where’s the ginger? Where’s the Chinese 5 spice? Definitely needs a bit more in the flavor department.
I used precooked chicken and it still turned out great. I still let it soak in while prepping the rest. Curious to see the difference when starting out with raw chicken. I didn’t have green onions but used some leftover chopped onion. Very easy. This will be in the rotation.
Really easy to make – it tasted fantastic, so sweet and savoury, I also made a pineapple cocktail at the same time!
Great recipe! I used Bachan’s instead of soy sauce, and I love it. I also used a skillet instead of a wok.
Amazing! Easy to make and delicious!
Super easy and would make again. I used fresh pineapple and wished I had more liquid. I added fresh ginger and garlic. I gave this 4 stars when it was fresh but after sitting in the fridge for a day it became 5 stars. Delicious!!!
East peasy and delicious.
Excellent dish and easy to make. Will consider serving over saffron rice next time.
I love how simple and easy the recipe is; but it was a little bland to me. It was super easy to modify it to my tastes though – I added some garlic, ginger, pepper, and brown sugar! Then ate the chicken with white rice! Loved it.
Added 1/4 cup brown sugar at end. Was a touch boring without. Now a favorite!
