Easy French Dip Sandwiches

These spicy vegetarian fajitas are a favorite in my family. Serve the fajitas with flour tortillas, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and I even added boiled broccoli on the side so that everyone could add it if they want.

So easy and delicious! Paired them with Chef John’s Cream of Mushroom soup. Perfect combo!

I did not care for this recipe at all. The hot peppers and juice and Ranch dressing absolutely overwhelmed any taste of beef. French Dip sandwiches don’t need the heat of hot peppers or Ranch seasoning! I threw it in the garbage. A very costly mistake making this just as the recipe said.

Very good & easy to make. Used McCormick Gravy Mix – Au Jus instead of beef consomme. Added some garlic powder & Worcestershire while warming up gravy mix.

I made this exactly as the recipe was written and it was really good but the sauce seemed to be missing the extra flavor I was looking for. The second time I made it, I added garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce to the consume and the family raved about it. I added a teaspoon of garlic powder and about a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.

These were easy and delicious! I did caramelize an onion before I added the consomme and water. And I added a dash of Worcestershire sauce to it as well. I used French Bread and toasted before adding the cheese and meat, as well as toasting after for 3-4 min. My son who can be a picky eater even ate his. Will definitely make again.

This sandwich was ~ delish! I loved the beef consomme (plus water) dip .. so rich and yummy. The only thing I would change is that I will broil the sandwiches instead of baking them as I would like a little crust on the bread. Otherwise, can’t wait to make it again!

What an easy way to make yummy French Dip sandwiches! The only change I made was to spread garlic butter on the open bun halves and broil till crispy. That way they hold up to the dunking in au jus!
