Everyone I’ve prepared it for truly enjoys it, and it is simple to prepare. If wanted, serve with bread and your preferred vegetables. (Note: You may also use 2 pounds of chicken breast flesh instead of a whole chicken; I like to prepare my chicken ahead of time and freeze it, so that it is even quicker to make when I’m ready).

Before I put this in the oven or added cheese,I thought it was a little bland. I add onion powder and more salt and pepper. That didn’t help much. I then add Cajun spice, that did the trick. It was very good. Very little leftovers.
Loved it. Used 2 chicken breasts cooked in crock pot with some sliced up jalapeños & minced garlic. Added 8 oz sautéed mushrooms, 1/2 diced onion and more minced garlic along with 1 1/2 cups thawed frozen peas. Absolutely loved it!
I made this recipe a few weeks ago for a friend who was homebound. I altered the recipe by baking the chicken in Progresso Chicken Pot Pie Soup (includes water). When I assembled the casserole, I mixed in 2/3 of the shredded cheese in with it along with (cooked) broccoli florets. I added the cream of mushroom soup but omitted the cream of chicken soup. I also omitted the water since I had the leftover chicken pot pie soup still in the pan. My friend and her family loved it!
I used Campbell’s new Cream of Chicken/Cream of Mushrooms mixed in the same can. I buy Rotisserie Chicken from my local grocery when they are 2 for $10.00. I take all the meat off the bones and put in small bags, wrap a select a sheet paper towel around each bag and put them all in a Zip Lock Gallon Freezer Bag and freeze. That way the bags don’t stick together and I can pull out one bag at a time with just the right amount for me and my husband for one recipe.
Easy, quick and delicious
Used penne pasta, some sour cream, lots of cheese!
Made tonight for supper and it was good enough….like you might make for an easy supper for a family with kids. Followed the recipe using milk instead of water, and adding a small amount of garlic powder and basil and some assorted frozen veggies. Seemed to be missing something to add flavor. If I make again, I’ll use some s
I had leftover rotisserie chicken from a gathering and was looking for something different to do with it. This recipe was perfect! I substituted egg noodles for the spaghetti and doubled the cream of chicken soup because my can was the big size. It was great, the kids and I loved it and it will be in the menu rotation from now on!
My family loves this recipe! I used egg noodles instead of spaghetti. I also added peas. Turned out great! Will definitely be making again.
I basically used ingredients that I had on hand, including shredded chicken, frozen mixed vegetables and cream of celery soup instead of the cream of chicken. I steamed the mixed vegetables and added them to a basic bechamel sauce (replacing the cheese) and soup and I used spaghetti I had cooked the day before. I think it turned out great and my neighbor agreed. I’ll definitely make this again.
Love this so good! I didn’t have spaghetti noodles so I used fettuccine. While putting in the dish I felt it was very dry so I added a second can of both the mushroom soup and cream of chicken. Also I used more than a cup of cheese honestly didn’t measure just put on top. The edges was a little dry for my liking but center was amazing moist.
Solid 4! Very good, simple, successful dish!
This was a very easy recipe to follow and turned out so good! I did make a few changes though. I used a store bought rotisserie chicken, milk instead of water, I didn’t use any salt since their was already a lot of sodium from the soups, I added a frozen bag of mixed veggies w/ green beans, carrots, peas and corn, used egg noodles instead of spaghetti, boiled the egg noodles with garlic powder to give the noodles more flavor and then topped the casserole with smashed-up garlic butter croutons. Definitely a super easy recipe to follow and my boyfriend and his friend loved it.
I used gravy instead of the mushroom soup. I used bow tie pasta instead of spaghetti. I added cooked, frozen chopped broccoli.. good. Would make again.
I did make changes to this recipe for more flavor.I used a small can of chicken broth instead of the water so that the spaghetti wouldn’t be too dry and added 1/2 teaspoon of thyme and the same with garlic powder. This make the recipe a keeper for us.
I have made this recipe several times. It is a hit with my whole family. I have used egg noodles, spaghetti noodled and macaroni noodles all with great success. I have also used a variety of shredded cheeses depending on what we have on hand. I do usually add a bag of frozen vegetables. Wonderful casserole! It’s a keeper!
I used egg noodles, peas, carrots and broccoli, other then that I followed the recipe as writing. Kids hated it, but my boyfriend and I loved it.
After reading the reviews of it being a bit bland, I added garlic powder, some shredded chedder cheese along with the mozzarello cheese that was called for on top and crushed ritz crackers. I’ll be making this more for sure.
Pretty tasty! A good, basic recipe. Used milk instead of water.
I thought it was lacking on flavor and was a little thick, as another reviewer mentioned. Out of the five of us, only one of us liked it. It’s a good concept, just missing something.
Cooked as written – was absolutely delicious. Family of 10 licked their plates clean (even the 1 year-old, literally)!! It’s so nice to find a simple recipe with fabulous flavor!!
