Ingredients

  1. 4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
  2. 4 ounces Cointreau liqueur
  3. 7 ounces cranberry juice cocktail, such as Ocean Spray
  4. 7 ounces good vodka, such as Grey Goose
  5. Dash of raw egg white (optional)
  6. Ice

Instructions

  1. In a pitcher, stir together the lemon juice, Cointreau, cranberry juice cocktail, vodka, and egg white (if using). Fill a cocktail shaker half full with ice and pour enough of the drink mixture into the shaker to almost fill it. Shake the cocktail for a full 30 seconds (it’s longer than you think!) and strain into martini glasses. Serve ice cold.

Does anybody know the reason for the raw egg white? I do her other version with lime juice

Cocktail hour in KC. Lovely cocktail before pork tenderloin & potatoes gratin for dinner. Duke’s Cosmo – all my favorite flavors!!

I think it’s the lemon juice rather than lime that makes these so smooth. Really good.

I’ve made these several times! Delicious and very convenient to have ready to shake up

Excellent holiday cocktail – actually any time! I doubled and made ahead, served two at a time, after shaking in large shaker I have. Garnished with three or four frozen cranberries. Served in champagne flutes as I took this cocktail – premade for 8 –  to a neighbor’s party in a big pitcher. Yum!

Absolutely delicious. I love cosmos anyway, but this takes it to another level!

Delicious.  The cranberry juice really makes this a delicious, balanced drink.
