I have made this recipe so many times since I found it. Carrots turn out perfect every time. But I use maple syrup instead of the brown sugar. My grandkids call it “Candy Carrots”. They love it and always get excited when I serve it and often ask for it.
Excellent!
Followed the recipe the first time and it was very good. Only thing there is no maple syrup. Made the same recipe the second time but switched the brown sugar for maple syrup. It was great.
One of my favorite side dishes, these are nicknamed Candy Carrots at our house.
My husband and I really liked these carrots. I steamed the carrots in the microwave, I also used real maple syrup for the brown sugar.
Just ok
very very good.
This was a hit! Recipe is super easy and quick. We plan to use half of the pepper next time, as we found it a bit much.
Making again tonight. This recipe is fantastic!!?? I have made it so many times it is a go to for me. I use a tbsp of real maple syrup and dried dill weed. Made a lot of carrots this time.
Well Kinda.. I used baby carrots cut in half. Then I used maple syrup in place of the brown sugar. Now one of our favorites.
Confused why these are called “maple” carrots when it doesn’t call for maple. So I subbed brown sugar for real maple syrup and it was delicious. The children loved it too
No changes were made during this time, I may in the future use not as much dill and butter. It was delicious and one I will definitely make again.
The ONLY way I cook carrots now. This recipe is a hit!
I followed the recipe and it turned out beautifully! Brown sugar and fresh dill is so yummy!
loved it!!!
I had extra dill I needed to use and I found this recipe. I was a little skeptical of how it would turn out, but it was actually amazing and my 3 year old and 18 month old loves it too so will definitely be making it again!!! I didn’t message how much dill I put it there it was roughly the amount the recipe calls for but next time I’m going to put a little more because the brown sugar took over
Easy, healthy and tastes great!
I was looking for something to dress up carrots for thanksgiving dinner. This is perfect I used fresh dill from my garden! The kids ate all their carrots!
Delicious! Growing up, I never cared for cooked carrots and now I usually only ever eat them raw or chopped up in another dish, but my garden has been yielding an abundance of beautiful carrots so I needed to find a delicious way to serve them. These were perfect! I used pure, organic maple syrup instead of brown sugar and drained the carrots after boiling but those were the only changes I made to the original recipe and suggested by other reviewers.
Good! Made with baby carrot bag. No dill
Lovely. The dill added an interesting twist (I used dry, out of necessity). Maybe I’ll try adding a little lemon zest next time…but these were great as is.
