This fiery barbecue sauce, chicken dice, peppers, onion, and cilantro pizza is baked to a bubbling perfection before being topped with cheese. This reminds me of a recipe I had enjoyed at a well-known pizza joint in California. My family is a big fan!

I made this on the spur of the moment with my grandkids who wanted to “cook something.” We used two very large Honey-crisp apples. After adding just a little over 1 tbsp of brown sugar and the whole amount of cinnamon they declared “sweet enough”! Maybe the type of apple helps determine the amount of sugar but either way we loved this fun and easy recipe! Thanks!
I’ll save myself a little time here and say I did it exactly how WHIRLPEAS did it and it turned out absolutely fabulous.
Good recipe. Good results. Used three shaved apples cooked, then put in a blender with some water. Turned out smooth and much better than store bought. Good way to use up extra apples.
This is a very good recipe. I made for my family and they loved it. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
I cut the apples in small chunks instead of shredding them, I like small bits of apple left in there. It came out great!
easy recipe.
Exchanged 25% of sugar with dark brown sugar; added some granulated maple. Made as a way to use up some “stale” apples that were not palatable. Applesauce came out great!
Easy and delicious
Quick, easy and tasty! I shredded the apples using the large holes on my cheese grater. Added a pinch of nutmeg and subbed apple brandy for the water for an adult version.
So easy and the best ever!!!
YUM!
delicious! added a bit more brown sugar – so good!
I use apple jack instead of water and whole cinnamon sticks it came out great
Stayed true to the recipe tastes great!
Used Cortland apples, unpeeled, thinly sliced and white sugar, multiplied the ingredients by three (except Cinnamon and ended up with a really good sweet pink applesauce.
I reduced the sugar and cinnamon like others suggested, and it was awesome. Will definitely make it again…
Very simple to make and so delicious. I added some mango chunks for the extra tanginess and it worked out great! I transferred the fruit to the slow cooker and after an hour, I mashed them up with a hand mixer. Yum!
Perfectly simple. Simply perfect.
Easy and delicious. Like a few other reviewers, I cut back the cinnamon to about 3/4 of a teaspoon. This recipe can be expanded upon to suit your tastes. I added raisins, a little bit of spiced rum, and a touch of vanilla extract. It was a great topping on ice cream and cereal, but also delicious eaten alone.
I changed this up a little, but used the same 4 ingredients. I used 9 apples and 1 cup of water (which turned out to be the perfect ratio!) I kept the 1 tsp of cinnamon the same and reduced the brown sugar from 3 to 2 tbsps. I cooked it longer too, about 1.5 hours. Absolutely delicious! 3 stars because I think the measurements were way off if using only 2 apples!
I have been making this for quite a while and my family loves it! I Mae it for Christmas gifts
