Amazing ! Fabulous!
Excellent idea! Just need to watch timing, it can get too crispy.
I didn’t take a picture, but I chopped it up and used it in Quiche! Very good!! It was crisp and it was the easiest way I’ve ever cooked it! I’ve made it in the oven before, but it never came out as good as this way. I never would have thought to put it in a cold oven. It worked great, I’ll use this way from now on! Thanks for posting this!
Perfect! It freed up my oven range to make French toast that I didn’t have to constantly keep my eye on the bacon. It came out crispy, just like my family loves it!
Love it
Backing in the oven is great if you are preparing over a pound. I could not fit 1.5 pounds in one batch. 4 were done in a cast iron skillet. The skillet bacon was done 5 minutes after the oven was pre-heated to 400F. I checked on the bacon in the oven at the 15 minute mark, and smoke rolled out of the oven. I googled the bacon grease smoke temperature, and it is 325F. So, I suggest lowering the temp, add more time, and have another cocktail and relax a little bit.
I’ve NEVER commented on recipes before. But I signed up just so I could comment on this one. It’s simple, and the bacon turns out perfectly crispy. I’ve been baking bacon for well over a decade, with varying degrees of success. It’s alway been done on a rack on top of the cookie sheet. No more. THIS will be the way I cook bacon from now on.
Works great! I need to check it at about 20 mins (my oven runs a bit hotter than most). It was crispy like I like but too much for my husband’s liking.
Took a full 30 minutes in my oven. Turned out beautifully..
I loved it. Bacon taste great and so much easier to make.
Easy to follow! Bacon came out great!
I’ve been making bacon in the oven for years but I’ve always baked mine on aluminum foil and in a preheated oven. Not sure the oven being preheated or not made a difference but I definitely preferred the parchment paper over the foil and will use that from now on.
