I’ve made this multiple times to go over a chicken chopped salad. I swap out the chopped onion for 1/4 tsp. of onion powder. Everyone loves it.

I’ve made this three times now, and I absolutely love it. I tweaked it a bit by cutting the sugar back to two teaspoons and substituting 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder for the small onion. So far I’ve used it on garden salad, and as an addition to my bean salad. It’s too thick to pour out of a cruet, so I store and serve it in a small Pyrex covered dish. Also, if you use onion powder, you don’t have to dirty a blender. Just whip it up with a wire whisk. So quick and easy to make. And, a little goes a long way. A definite keeper. Thank you, Cathy, for sharing such a great recipe!

Loved this recipe. I’ve made it over and over again. Really tastes good as a vegetable dip as well. My daughter loves eating this dressing with carrot sticks.

Made this according to recipe but used a few chopped up slices of red onion as that’s the only one I had. I think it makes for a prettier color! I’ve sampled it, and it’s wonderful. I think it will be better tomorrow when I serve it. Thank you, Cathy!

Great! I did ave any mild onion so I added 1/4 teas onion powder instead. Excellent! Good for veggie or pasta salads

I made this dressing last Christmas, and it was a hit. I was requested to make it again for Easter because it was so good, and once again it got rave reviews. I followed the recipe exactly, and it will be a keeper for sure!

This is the best Homemade Creamy Italian Salad dressing you will find! Make it as directed. Let it sit 24hrs… small sweet (yellow) onion if you don’t like a super tangy dressing! Thank you Cathy! My 26yr old daughter CRAVES THIS DRESSING. We make our Italian salad with this, romaine, roma tomatoes, red onion, provel cheese, Peperoncino peppers , croutons. Restaurant quality!!

Love this dressing. Very light and perfect mixture.

This was really good and easy to make. I followed almost exactly except I used onion powder instead of an onion and added 1/4 tsp Stevia powder instead of sugar, and a few shakes of Parmesan cheese because I like it.

This is so good I could drink it. After reading reviews and note from Cathy I decided to follow the recipe exactly. Only I accidentally added a whole small onion (Vidalia) instead of half. Didn’t seem to matter because this dressing is amazing!

I was looking for light marinade for grilled chicken. I came across this recipe and made it. It was delicious. It didn’t over power the chicken, it just complimented it really well. I didn’t have any Italian seasoning so I used a teaspoon of dried oregano and a teaspoon of dried basil and two tablespoons of fresh parsley. I also used minced garlic rather then garlic powder. I can’t wait to make this again.

We loved it! I made it and did not refrigerate it and it was okay but it was excellent the next evening. I have to make it again. My boys even put it on their burgers. It’s a keeper. Thank you so much!

I made this tonight for dinner and it was delicious! I think my onion was a bit spicy because it definitely gave the dressing a kick…but it was so good! Thanks for such an easy and yummy recipe!

I know this is crazy, but I followed the recipe exactly as written, and it was perfect! I blended the ingredients and let it hang out it the fridge a couple of hours until dinnertime. After a quick shake, the creamy dressing poured beautifully over a nice side salad with our pasta dinner. The entire family enjoyed this creamy delightful dressing.
