Cranberry Orange Iced Tea

  4.2 – 3 reviews

On a gray day, this incredibly easy dish for egg drop soup is quite warming.

Servings: 6
Yield: 6 cups

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups boiling water
  2. 6 cranberry herb tea bags
  3. ¼ cup lemon juice
  4. 9 packets Sweet’N Low granulated sugar substitute
  5. 2 ½ cups cold water
  6. 1 ½ cups orange juice

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, pour the boiling water over the tea bags. Steep 5 minutes; remove the tea bags and discard.
  2. Stir in the lemon juice and Sweet’N Low until the Sweet’N Low dissolves. Mix in the cold water and orange juice.
  3. Refrigerate until well chilled.
  4. Pour over ice in tall glasses.

I just finished a batch of this drink using fresh clementine juice and cranberry teabags without herbs (don’t have it readily available to me). Everything else was the same and it is a nice, refreshing drink that is not overly sweet but has a delightful fruit taste with each gulp. I will make this during our hot humid Toronto summers.

tried and very good I used cranberry pomegranate tea bags and skipped the orange juice

This had a fairly good balance of tea flavor vs citrus flavor with the citrus dominating just a little. I don’t drink sweet ice tea, so I didn’t use Sweet’N Low, but it was a refreshing summer drink.
